Advice in proportions? 5'4 to 5'8
« on: December 05, 2021, 06:11:10 AM »

Hey guys, I'm planning on doing LL twice over with one of Paley's packages in the next year or so. I'm a hair under 5'4 at about 63.8 inches.
My SH is 83cm and my Wingspan's exactly 67inches.

Would 5'8 look fairly normal with these proportions?

The wingspan works fine for 5'8, however, your SH seems remarkably short. How are you measuring it?

Apparently, it's 84cm now, I just sat down on the floor and measure from top to bottom.

I notice most men and women that I know around 5'9 are about 1in - 1.5inches taller than me when we're all sitting.

I'm about 169 cm and my sitting heights about 85 cm so I don't you are that far off. What's the median ratio?

If you could measure according to this document, I could get a better picture of your proportions (pg. 29, document pg 31): https://multisite.eos.ncsu.edu/www-ergocenter-ncsu-edu/wp-content/uploads/sites/18/2016/06/Anthropometric-Detailed-Data-Tables.pdf

Just had my friend do the measurements and it came out to 33inches exactly in SH so 83.82 which tracks why I'm always about an inch - 1.5 inches below my taller friends when we're sitting down.

Not sure how to get a median ratio but my Leg to Body Ratio is 0.48 currently

0.48 is the exact median. However, I wouldn't let that discourage you from lengthening four inches.

Why do you think so? Idk much about ideal ratios is 48 ideal? Thought .50 was the Davinci golden ratio or something - seems like right now I'm more torso than legs if I'm reading the numbers correctly

I just meant to say it's the median; I don't know what the ideal is for men.
