hello everyone today I'll talk about my experience with Dr. Milorad Mitkovic serbia.
arrived on July 25 at the Belgrade airport I found the driver waiting for me..
the driver was really friendly even if he doesn't speak English or French ..
just arrived in Nis we took dinner until my apartment was ready (250euro / month) includes internet ..
I met the doctor in the apartment and he explained the whole process.. and we agreed on an extension of 6 cm..
August 4 I went to the hospital where I met the physician assistants ..
I spent the night in the hospital because the next day would be the operation..
August 5 morning the nurse injected me some medicine and I do not remember what happened afterwards until I woke up in my room and told me that the operation is successful..
August 5 at night the pain is unbearable I thought at that time why I plunged into this crap ?? I had the right to medical assistance 24/24 nurses are really nice and kind ..
August 6 I woke up with a sore head and unbearable nausea..
Pain killers that nurses gave me have not played their role and the pain still persisted until the arrival of the anesthesiologist who reassured me a little by telling me that this is normal and that they will give me medication that will sleep and after the headaches go away..
Now I'm fine and I can answer your questions ...

Hi UB40, I am also going to Dr Mitkovic next year. I have saved enough for this surgery but just worried about the accommodation costs. How much does it cost to stay in the hotel? Is food included? Is your room big enough for a person lengthening? Many thanks

Starting height : 168 cm/169 so with 6 cm i will bee 175

For operation 9300 euro ( that's includes pick up of aéroport and 6 days of hospitality )
I will still here until January then I will return to Morocco for studies and I will come back in March for removing the device
We can say that the average height in Morocco is 173 cm

No need to get passive aggressive. I'm just not in the habit of hijacking other people's threads. I've already helped quite a few people on this site with information about dr Mitkovic but they've pm'd me

think hotel will be 500 euro monthly
About food I think 150 to 200 euro will be enough here in serbia for month

Hello everyone, sorry for the delay, I was getting used to the new situation..
I hope everyone is well .. so tomorrow I will complete 2 cm of gain.. I do physiotherapy 4/3 times per week.. and I do 2 hours of exercises per day.. until now no serious complications noticed.. Doctor is available to me once a week, but we still in contact by phone and He is verry helpful. . about the pain disappears after about a week / 10 days of the operation.. I already have the results of x-rays scanner I will post pictures after.. and Im not able yet to walk ( Im not good with walker :-[ )..
So Im sorry again for my English.. if anyone have a question feel free to ask me I can even ask doctor..

Hey, Can you stand up for, let's say, 30 seconds - 1 minute? I remember this device is weight bearing.
Is physiotherapy included in the lengthening package?

Hello, to be honest with you I have some difficulties with standing and with walker but this is normal because we're not the same.. about physiotherapy no you have to pay 8 euro for session.. and because of physiotherapy and exercises I don't have any problems untill now but it's earlier for pbs.. any way I hope that I finish lengthening without problems.

Yes but only external with some kind of "internal" device that isnt inside the bone but on it

My physiotherapist just noticed this today I called Dr He visited me and He told me that now nothing is bad and maybe it's just a swelling but we have to do x-rays to be sur.. problem is x-rays affect bone healing so He told me that I should wait another 2 weeks for x-rays because this isn't big thing and Even if this is misalignment He can easily fix that.

The cut = la coupe(in french) est l'endroit ou l'os a ete coupe a travers l'incision faite par le docteur.

Everything is good.. I'm not verry good on writing diaries.. but everything is good now Im at 4.2 cm I haven't any complications untill now. My experience with dr mitkovic is excellent untill now..

Everything is going good I finished lengthening phase without any complications no misalignment no ballerina for 5.3 cm.. now Im in the consolidation phase I hope that will be fast..

I'll write a summary one of these days. Conan had a much better result than me but he was pretty dissatisfied with this doctor overall

Why dissatisfied? What was your outcome? Mitkovic is one I'm considering.

Negative result, I have the opposite of a recurvatem on one leg and different levels of now on both legs. Wouldn't recommend him

All of the above actually, I'm shopping around to have this fixed at the moment.
If I told people the specifics of some of my experiences no one would believe me and I'm tired of getting into arguments with people about him like some of my private chats.
Like this guy put me through hell and people are asking me ways to mitigate risks. Don't use him is the only advice I can give
There were so many days of being ignored or him making mistakes during corrections, and me having to wait to see him. Couldn't believe my situation being trapped in a different country and even during the corrections where I was naive enough to fall for his promises again
I don't recommend him because if and when things go sour, he's just incapable

When did you notice that you had a problem? During lengthening or consolidation?
I hope you could find a way to improve your situation soon.

And the Guy is I believe the best un his country, I am sorry to imagine the other docs.

Mitkovic is an old school doctor that does not care about accuracy and excellence in his LL cases and to have a perfect outcome with him is only a matter of luck (if possible).
Most of this doctor's cases have malunions that this doctor don't fix because they say they won't cause problems! He is a relatively cheap doctor with outcomes that can be compared to most of the doctors of third world countries like India or Armenia etc.
I would never trust these kind of doctors.
