Hey everybody,
My name is Zayn and I'm an American Pakistani. I am 6'2 and I am looking to reduce my height by about two inches, which is contrary to what you all are going for. I already contacted Dr. Sarin, and he said he has done a limb shortening procedure as well. I contacted the patient who underwent the limb shortening and he gave me so much advice regarding how much I should get cut off. I am only going to get 4.5 cm cut from my femur, but nothing off of my tibia and fibula, because those bones are more difficult to heal in proportion together. So what do you guys think/experienced? How is the healing for femurs after it has been cut? And also, do you guys think that the leg shortening procedure is less dangerous and that its post operation recovery will be better than those of you who are trying to become taller? Because once the legs are shortened, that's it. But when you are trying to become taller, your bones are trying to grow and grow even after surgery, so I can see why limb lengthening would have a lot of complications when it comes to recovery. So how about shortening my thighs? Do you think that recovery would be easier?
-
WHYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!??!!??
Sorry, that's all I can contribute to this thread.
-
I don't think many of us will know anything about limb shortening. We had an obviously mentally disturbed middle-aged woman come to Beijing and insist she'd grown from 5'4 to 5'7 recently and had to have her legs shortened. I don't know what happened with her because she got there a few days before I left. Are you sure YOU aren't mentally disturbed? You're not some 8 foot tall freak who should want to become shorter.
-
Please don't get me wrong, I'm not judging you, but.. Why do this to yourself?
-
There's a risk of non-union with limb shortening. Is it really worth the risk for you when you're already the coveted height of many males?
-
Bitch pls, you need a smack on the back of your head you little wuss. I call this troll. You are not even tall at 6'2 my friend is that tall and i don't find him tall just taller than the norm.
-
Yes, I've heard about limb shortening; they do that normally in every country (they even do it in my city).
Most of the time it's rather because they had extreme "injury" and there it's better to cut the bone and let new regenerate.
But 187cm is what most of the hollywood stars are, go google them.
It's an amazing height, 185cm is known as the "perfect" height voted by many.
Don't do this to yourself, it's not worth the risk & pain.
-
It's like God gave you a Lamborghini, and you want to trade it for a Lada..
-
I was there when the girl and guy did shortening and I must say that there was absolutely nothing wrong with their height.
It was all in their head.
They once came in to my room and the guy wanted to beat me up. They both told that me and my roomie was fake and immature.
They blamed us that we were spreading rumors that they were having sex(they were brother and sister).
Then they told us they've been bullied all of their life.
I liked their idea of eating raw vegan food, it was very interesting for me but I'm sorry to say that they were both very mentally unstable.
The guy told me I was rude for saying "hello" to him when I saw him walking by.
Right there I knew this guy was retarded.
His sister shouted down the hallway that we should shut up and that we were fking pussies.
I guess they both suffered brain damage from being bullied all of their life. Tragic.
But, the funny thing was that I managed to record EVERYTHING on my phone very well. It went on for 40 minutes where they both make total fool out of them.
I watched the video last week and myself a very good laugh ;D
If you're not 7 feet tall then don't do limb shortening. You're only insane and you obviously have to speak to someone professional.
If you're a troll or even one of the Turkish siblings then you now can confirm that you are mentally ill. Since you both live in London, healthcare is free - go seek it.
-
Lol, Sweden.. Were they Turkish? You should've handed them over to me!
Most people are mentally unstable in this country anyway.. After a while you get used to it. LOL.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D :D :D ;D
Almost choked myself haha!!
-
Didn't they invest in a lot of money just to renovate the guest house or something? Seems quite bizarre to me. They wanted to "replicate" their room or something. That's just weird.
-
A lots of people will be shocked hearing about this surgery to make people taller, but seriously I dont know what will be their reaction to know that someone who is at 6'2 ( seems to be the desired height of most men on internet) want to saw their legs to be shorter.
-
Sweden, post that video. I'm always up for a good laugh. ;)
-
Well where i live, it seems like everybody is so miniature and people Have always scrutinized me for being a giant, or being awkwardly tall, and i always get stared at wherever i go. I understand that all of you want to get taller so that's why you think im crazy. I really just hate always being the center of attention. For once in my life i just want to walk down the street and not be stared at. So if any body has heard or me someone who has undergone leg shortening, please let me know
-
In what part of the US do you live?
Trust me, you're definitely not a giant. Tall, yes. But still a very normal height.
P.S: I suppose most LL doctors would also do limb shortening. Just directly contact the doctors and ask them.
-
Dude just take steroids and go all out alpha all your life. Strong introvert.
-
I would suggest you wear the flattest shoes possible, at least you could be a few cms shorter because honestly it is not worth it to become shorter. I would understand if you were 2 meters but your height is perfection if you ask me and many men
-
So does anybody here know who the best doctor would be to go with? Initially I was considering India with Dr. Sarin or Dr. Srinigari, but seeing that there are so many negative reviews of them on here, I am changing my mind. Plus I don't know if I would be able to get a visa to India. So do y'all know who the best doctors are in terms of success and treatment? and what country theyre located in/the accommodations they offer. Thanks
-
Dr. Paley and Dr. Guichet are excellent if you can afford them as well as the accommodation. Your budget is going to determine who you have to work with, so how much do you have saved up for the procedure?
-
Well first I need to contact Dr. Paley and see if he will do a femural reduction of about 4.5 cm, because I actually want to decrease my height, not increase it. I was thinking the recovery for femural cuts would be quicker than the procedures done on fibulas and tibias to heal (as I've heard and seen on this post), and it might cost less, because my lower leg bones are not involved. (I understand most of you probably think Im crazy for wanting be shorter, but I have several personal reasons that I wish to do this and they are VERY strong, ultimately I want to have this surgery done). I have been saving up so far, and I only have a little over 10,000 USD. I know the procedure and post-op stay and accommodations are very expensive, thats why Im saving up now and I know that this surgery will have to take place in the distant future lol.
-
I'm curious as to what your personal reasons are. Mind sharing?
With only $10,000 USD, I don't think you'll be able to afford any reputable doctors outside of India unfortunately.
-
6'2 is my dream height.
So far every leg shorteners have been mentally insane.
Sorry, but that's the clear and present fact.
-
I wouldn't agree that all leg shorteners are mentally insane. Olivetree has a pretty solid reason for why she wants to shorten, which is to fix an insecurity, just like the rest of us.

Nope, you are so wrong!
You should know the difference between men and women by now.
She really doesn't need it.
-
The question is who really "needs" it ?
Eating is a basic need for instance.
If you are not a midget, do you really "need" LL ?
I dont think so.

That has nothing to do with anything. Hi, and welcome to LL Forum where we discuss lengthening of our limbs.
No sane 185cm tall guy goes for limb lengthening just as no sane woman wants to shorten herself if she is 5'7.
She only needs to hit the gym and change her diet.
There are reports of a crazy woman in China who wanted reduction too.
Everyone who wants to get shorter seems to suffer from some psychological issue.
-
People would give away both of their nuts just to be 6'2". I'll give my nuts plus Sweden's.
-
Ah ah what it is a Limb lentghening forum ? No way ? ok so im out because i wanted to have a nut lenghtening :'(.
I think its not as obvious as it seems.
My idea is : if you want to add a third nut, or whatever you want, and you really thought about it, then i dont care if you do it or not, its not my legs or nuts.
Maybe they are hobbits fans, i dont know ::)
If a girl likes hobbits, please contact me 8)
-
Of course my advice is : DONT DO IT !
-
So in conclusion: if you want a third nut or shorten your height when you're clearly not tall or even close to it then you are mentally ill.
-
Lol. ::)
I pity your close-mindedness Sweden.
-
So in conclusion: if you want a third nut or shorten your height when you're clearly not tall or even close to it then you are mentally ill.
Could be true but i would say : if you want LL and you are 179 cm then you are mentally ill, no ?
-
Could be true but i would say : if you want LL and you are 179 cm then you are mentally ill, no ?
Clearly you haven't understood this thing about height.
I wasn't 179 last year and I'm 30+ years old.
I've already messed up myself to a point where I actually only can walk properly(except for right now when my right ankle refuse to function).
Superman is the ideal man if you ask most of the women.
I wouldn't have done LL at all if I got to be 179cm from the beginning, but I didn't.
No woman in the world, anywhere at all, needs to reduce her height if she is 5'6.
There is only one tip a guy needs to date a lot of women - be tall. (Sure, don't be retarded either...)
If you don't understand then you just don't.
Sure, if she were 6 feet it would make more sense. But why not compete in athletic fitness and become a fitness model and have a great and healthy life?
Not even I am at the required height now for being a fitness model.....
-
Sweden,
But you're happily married. The whole dating thing doesn't apply to you anyway. Does it REALLY matter now that you're almost 180 cm, do you still feel the need to add a few more cm's? I think you're exaggerating. 180 might be the average male height in Sweden, I get it, but is being average so terrible? I think you have to focus on your current recovery (as you are now) and stop thinking about lengthening your femurs with a second operation.
-
"Clearly you haven't understood this thing about height"
Man i am 15 cm smaller than you so i do.
But i try to see things differently thats all.
I dont care that much about dating girls (im not gay).
I think the mind is much stronger.
Maybe you are a 5 feet guy even at 5'11, i dont know.
Some guys say they are a girl inside, to me thats fked up BUT i can understand it.
-
It is not consuming my time if you believe so.
There are more benefits from being tall than just women.
I'm not sure this discussion would even exist if you were well educated in this subject.
Not everyone wants success, sure. But even a woman who strives for a better position in her field of work will benefit if she's tall.
-

Hey man, I understand what you're trying to say and I agree that everyone is entitled to do whatever they want.
If she becomes so much more happier in her life then go for it.
But the surgery will have a huge impact in her athletic ability and it's a shame to get messed up when there is absolutely nothing wrong with her height. :-\
-
Well i know about the statistical effect of height in private life, work etc
You should add "PHD in height " to your title :)
Ok so my point : they are mad but me and others are mad too
You point : they are retarded and im not educated (retarded much ? :D)
Just kidding, i know what you mean.
" it's a shame to get messed up when there is absolutely nothing wrong with her height. "
I totally agree with that, but go tell them, they will not listen. Why ? Because they absolutely want to do LS.
Who am i to tell them they are mentally sick ? I want to do LL and most people tell me im mentaly insane.
-
Sorry for the sarcasm ah ah
Yeah i agree it doesnt worth it, HEALTH first.
-
For the first time in LL forums, I realized that there are other people nearly as depressed and insecure as me.
I can understand why someone would want limb shortening. They are mentally as messed up as us. The whole forum is full of
mentally sick people, including Sweden (and me). We all just hope we'll lose that sickness with surgery.
But about OliveTree and OP, it's just that they lie spot on in the "sexy" height for their respective genders. It just confuses me what they're thinking.
-
I dont get it either but they dont get it for us probably.
Im not in their heads.
Yeah we are "sick" and our society is totaly fked up ah ah
But to me being taller is an improvment like being smarter etc
If for them being smaller is an improvment then good for them.
-
You're not mentally ill if you're 170 and want to be taller. Then you've understood the rules of the society.
You will benefit from your height gain.
But you will not from LS. (Only if you're above 6 feet and woman)
-
Ok then explain to someone that you are 170 cm and want to break your healthy legs and stretch them and look at their reaction.
I say at least 80% of the people in the world, if not 95% would say you are crazy.
As being "crazy" is a social norm, then to most people you will be seen as crazy.
-
But if you ask me, as i am as crazy as you, then i say you made an excellent choice.
Thought you should not have chosen Sarin ah ah
-
Do you mean right but write it down so bad??
Of course they'll think I'm insane. Why do we even discuss this matter???
That's why we need to hide it from others.
The fact is still there: Taller IS better when it comes to men. (Even women actually. That's why the Australian female politician did LL)
So doing LS when you're 5'6 IS insanity since you're not a large monster. You're just perfect but your friends are shorter.
-
Well i dont take my time to answer and i suck in english ah ah
I agree that being taller is seen everywhere as being better, i think thats obvious.
I would say doing LS is seen as being even more insane than doing LL.
But socially speaking LL and LS are insane.
If you ask me without thinking how i feel about LS i would tell you : "thats fked up".
But we are all fked up now.
Probably in 15-25 years we will be seen as being ahead of our time.
But i think that even in 15-25 years LS will still be seen as being insane.
"You're just perfect " : yeah for most people.
Well thats an interesting discussion but ill stop here i think im not clear enough, lets focus in LL not philosophy :D
-
One thing about all of your posts bugs the hell out of me!
You keep writing: "ah ah"
When you clearly mean: "HA HA"
So please - correct it from now on ;D
-
"Ah ah" is an evil laugh :D
-

-
The Count is so badass 8)
Mmm do i mean ah ah or HA HA mmm aHa aHa maybe ?
I think both are correct but "ha ha" is more often used when laughing on the internet muhahaha .
Ok ill use "HA HA" when i laugh on your comments (internaly = ah ah ) ::)
I dont want you to think im as insane as i "sound" on the internet 8)
-
Only insane person can see insanity in others. LL or LS both insane in the membrane.
-
Honestly my whole family, nuclear and extended, view me as a freak of nature. So do my university peers. SouthEast Asian men are never this tall. When I visit back home, people just gawk. I don't want to be short, judt shorter. It would be nice to be able to walk five steps without having eight people staring at you.
-
We should not judge him.
Period.
If 6'2 is very tall where he is from, then how is it different than being
6'1 as a woman in Japan?
6'7 in america
or 7 ' in Netherlands
Or 5'6 in America?
There's no difference. If people treat him worse because of his height, then it is not different than any one of us.
We should not judge him.
-
Thank you Kneehow, that really means a lot.
-
Remember when I said not to judge you?
Well, I kinda take that back.
Man, don't go to Sarin.
Please don't go to Sarin. He has screwed up enough legs. Even if he doesn't screw up, you'll still get the scars.
I don't know why you or that 5'6 girl are even considering Sarin after all the screwed up things we've been hearing.
-
Hello Zaynkhan,
I predict that you’re trying to sabotage yourself without realizing it. why don't you talk, with your mother and father for advice, or join a tall forum and settle in a new country - U.S. ?
-
ZaynKahn,
I completely understand you buddy. I did LL to be taller but then realize that there is a "too tall" for where I live, probably above 6 foot is very noticeable in Turkey. If you read internet forums you'll see tons of women worshipping that height (or tall men in general) but I realized that the reality might be different - being way taller than everyone else might be uncomfortable indeed. A guy last year asked in local television how to shorten his height, he was 187 cm and complained that he kept hitting his head in public buses, no kidding. Initially I thought the guy was very stupid, but now I understand him. In other words.. I'd rather not be taller than 180 cm in Turkey and I'm very serious about this. United States is a different story though. If you lived in the US, you would absolutely fit in.
-

Hey all, it really means so much to me to hear your kind and understanding words. And yes, there really is such a thing as too tall, and unfortunately its what I am. I don't fit in anywhere and stand out like a sore thumb every single place I go. I resort to slouching and sitting as often as possible even though its not healthy. I am receiving advice not to go to Dr. Sarin, so does anybody else have any other doctors/suggestions?
-
Hey Zaynkhan, you could try contacting other LL Doctors and ask if they do Limb Reduction. Good luck.
-
Yeah I contacted Guichet a couple days ago but he didn't get back to me yet. Anybody know any other reputable doctors, as I am now being told that Sarin is not a good choice, which sucks because he is the cheapest and he put me in contact with someone who underwent a femoral shortening from him.
-

The first rule of surgery is only go to the best. You don't want even a hint of doubt when they stick that needle in, especially for such barbaric surgery.
-
This is such troll bait but I am nipping. 6'2" is tall but not freakish tall by any standards. It's a height considered the best possible for men in almost every corner of the world and in 20-30 years it'll probably be the average height of new the new generations in most western nations.
Instead of spending $40,000 or more breaking your legs, endure pain and deformity, lose months of your life etc. why don't you move to some place better? Cuz you clearly must be living in Mexico or Indonesia to be feeling ostracized at that height... lol
Such an operation is at least understandable to some degree with Mrtall being 6'7" (tho I would still go the route of beefing up and going alpha male before even considering chopping my legs down), but at 6'2"?

I think I've seen too much on this forum: 6'0 guys who want to reach 6'3 and 6'2 guys who want to be 6'0, what next?
-
if i was 6'7 i would just compress my spine and do extensive body exercises. Brb 2 inches shorter 2 years later problem fixed.
-
My only advice: go to the gym and slouch as much as possible, u can lose up to 1 inch if u relax your body while walking
-
compres your spine is a really stupid thing and not the way . you can hurt your spine
-
You could get a herniated disk, which is one of the most painful medical nightmares out there, from what I've heard from a friend who had it.
-
your height op, is much better than anything under 5'10", atleast you don't look like a child next to tall men, and i you don't feel inferior
-
oh, and i am 6'0", your height is my goal.
6'2" is ideal for a man, unless you live in asia, you shouldn't worry with that.
-
Anything between 5'11 and 6'4 is good, but ofc when you re taller u will have to work out a bit otherwise it looks really bad
-
Lol no offense guys and IamAndrew especially, you keep saying what YOU would do. Well guess what? Im not you. I am me. And I am not going to move to a place with different cultures, languages, and religions to fit in when I can possibly get a procedure done. Should I tell you to move to Korea or Mexico because everybody there is short? No. Even the advice I see you giving mrtall, it's not really yours or anybody else's place to handle someone else's insecurity like that. Just as there is such a thing as being too short, there is such a thing as being too tall. Especially amongst my entire family, community, and town. So I would appreciate it if anybody who doesn't have anything helpful to say, not say anything at all. Plus, I dont want to be an 'alpha-male' unlike most of you. I am a really shy, quiet, and naturally introverted person. And don't tell me to change my personality either because that's being just as absurd. I know the grass always looks greener on the otherside, which is why all you guys are over here reprimanding me and advising on me what I should and should not do. Sorry, but it's really not your place.
