There is a fine line between a constructive criticism that one can learn and grow from... versus a comment like deformed and cartoonist that borderline to a plain-out insult. These posters are obviously not the people you want to be friends with in person. They will try to bring you down out of jealousy at your women success and offer no real-value advice on how you can improve your life. I'm pretty sure you have met this type of people in person. This is one reason why I stop my diary completely. It's really pointless listening to these vemons from Assop (sorry I forgot his name) who is really a loser. And another guy who really needs to find a real job and stop being a parasite to his own country. You know who.

The point of the original post was he was on his way to dating a very tall girl. Thus the reason for the lift. Did he get the girl? Yes/no.. That's all that matters okay? If his proportion is revealing, then the girl would probably point it out to him. But a day with lift wouldn't do much damage to his health or self-esteem. I would even assume that she would focus on other things, like his strong upper physique, his well-groomed hair, his manner and how much money he has in his bank... over a tiny thing like the length of his tibiae. And unless he tells her, she wouldn't know that he did LL with +9cm plus wearing lift. That reading some of the comments revealed that some people are totally inept about women.

Yeah, RGkey, you should really take the comments on here with a grain of salt. And it is hard to determine your proportion just by looking at your photo, which doesn't reveal how you walk, your stride, or your bodily physique. And as long as you get the girl, the end justify the means.

Well said.

Btw, walking with lifts is not such a great idea right now, my legs are so sore!! I can barely walk now((((
and yes I got the girl, she is an 11!!! Which is a 10 with a job and money since she is a lawyer, and im broke as hell haha... but she told me she does not care about that!)) Awesome girl she looks like angelina Julie and she is a pole dancer too... just amazing girl!!))

Update:

on Thursday I got my visa situation solved, it was the most interesting thing ever. First we went to the emigration office with Oxana (the clinic manager) then I got interviewed with one of the emigration officers and I got very cute girl as my Interpreter (Irina) after all documents where in order, we went to the court house, so I felt like a movie star!!! hahaha escorted my 2 girls and 2 officers haha, at the end I joked with my interpreter, I held her hand and said " maybe it would be better if you marry me so I can get my documents" she laugh and got a red face, she replied, "unfortunately I have a boyfriend and kept smiling" but I could feel she really liked me a lot, i could have gotten her if I wanted to and we were alone not surround by 3 more people and in a court house. so I got my papers done all good. Im flying back home on thursday, but first i will visit one girl i really like awhile ago, she lives few hours from here, so ill stay with her for 2 days. Changing subject, On Friday my love went home, yes!!! I fell in love!!! im inlove with this girl, she drives me crazy!! most amazing sex ever, ive done thing with her that i only dreamed of, for example, making love while watching my favorite porno videos hahaha!! just awesome I really felt i was completely honest with her and she with me. Anyway, lately ive been stopped by random girls just wanting to talk to me, maybe height really makes me more attractive or maybe my "CARTOONISH LOOK" the girls really like!! haha either way Ive never gotten so much attention by the females, never!! i have to admit... i dont think im that good looking, i mean i can be but at the moment I think im good looking but not brad pit lol but girls act like if I was, sometimes I dont even know if they are being serious lol few nights ago I got a party in my apartment and for one hour all the girls could talk was how all the girls like me, well i think alcohol played a big part of it. but seriously I dont know whats happening, its like im a super sayayin (dragon ball) in this country hahaha Anyway, last night I went out with this super hot girl, we held hands and everything, and she asked me, " so im sure all the girls want to marry you" I was like what the fk!! again with the same questions!!! hahaha

So the things I will miss the most about this country are the GIRLS AND CAKES, their cakes are amazing!!! very cheap and super tasty!!! like having an orgasm!!!! and of course my girl which I love!! I will need some time to forget her, we connected so very much.

My legs hurt like a bitch!!! specially after walking with lifts, my walking sucks!!! I need to start walking without lifts until I recover enough I guess,

Smallguy, how long did you wait to start walking with lifts post frame removal???

so now is Sunday, there is one girl who wants to meet but honestly my legs are killing me, I will just stay home, maybe ill convince her to come visit me!)) that'll be awesome)) but It will be hard, since we have never meet so a first date in my apartment!?? weird as hell but iv'e been lucky so far!) will see, don't lose anything by trying!)))

Tomorrow I get xrays and my passport in hands!))) also maybe ill meet again with the angelina julie girl from yesterday and seal the deal!) today will be a very boring day, so people feel free to talk to me on skype!)) or here ill be online all day!!

So doctor says, the consolidation is good, if Im going to walk for long distance I should use crutches, but at home I don't really need them. He said I might have muscle pain for up to 6 months, so we will see how it goes.

Did you get to see Michail Goldreyer (the very first cosmetic patient of the clinic)? He was 1.70 and now he is 1.76m. There's a video on YouTube where he seems to have recovered fully and even showed his scars and they are totally gone.

Hey RGKEY, nice x-rays, hope you are enjoying life right now with your new height!

I have some questions for you if you have the time:

1. Im now in consolidation phase, so how important is it to wear the footholders when you arent lengthening anymore? I assume it still is important but maybe not as much? (considering i dont have any ballerina to begin with)

2. Also how important is it to keep your knees straightened in consolidation phase if you dont have knee bend? assuming you stretch every now and then as well? still important but not a big deal if you sleep some times with a pillow under them?

3. And finally, assuming you have walked a lot in lengthening phase, the pin bending should already have happened once you get to the consolidation phase. And most people claim there is a maximum ammount the pins can bend which varies from which device you use. My doctor told me i could lose 3 mm at most from pin bending as they are using a very hard steel material and thicker than average pins. However i have walked much, but very little without support, only standing straight every now and then and letting my legs bear my full weight. The doctor has told me that patients on average are able to walk without aid with the frames about 2 months after surgery.

So the question is, could i potentially lose even more height due to pin bending if i walk for longer without aid in consolidation phase, even if i already lost 3 mm in lengthening phase? assuming the maximum pin bend theory is true i shouldnt lose more. However you should know from experience, you stopped lengthening after about 5 months right? and after that you walked alot without aid and even with extra luggage to train. Did your pins keep bending long into the consolidation phase? or had you already gotten the maximum pin bending and turned the extra turns to make up for it and then you could walk freely without worrying about losing more?

sorry for the convoluted question but i wanted to make myself clear, thank you!

Yes I saw him everyday. He is not a very charming person. But overall not bad either. He said he is now 174 he lost height due to aging I suppose. He is fine. He is fully recovered he said when he was younger he did sports and everything post op. He was a very active person. He is talks like a fking general, I didn't like him for a long time. But at the end he went with me to get mu visa fixed and he behaved like a good man. So at the end I was ok with him.

1)) it's important because your feet will want to go ballerina on you, try and sleep one day without then and see if you feel any difference, Im not supose to even recommend you this but i did this, and in the morning I felt how my feet were more sore than usual. So I kept using them, but im not gonna lie to you maybe 2 weeks before i got my last frame removed I stopped using them lol but by then I was almost running with my frame hehe. so i guess just see how you feel. if you see your feet are going down start wearing them asap. my doc says you must use them until you get your frames removes, because the pins will put extra tension on your muscles and pull your feet down. He is the doc so he definately knows more than u and me together and multi[ply by 10 lol

2) IMPORTANT, because there are 2 things, bone contraction and muscle contraption, so if you have no knee contraction u will still have some muscle contraction, so it is good to stretch no matter what, even now im stretching because my knee are not completely straight.

3)))during consolidation you shouldnt lose height only during lengthening. the pins are way too strong to keep bending, they might break but that's all. the pins my doct uses can bare 120 pounds just one, and i had 7 more, so thats a lot of weight, but your muscles plus weight plus movement will break them depending on how strong are your muscles. I broke 32 pins can u imagine, my doc says that is probably the record in the world lol and i think he is right haha

Thank you bro! about question 3 though, what happens if you break a pin? can the other pins keep the bone in place until they replace the broken one or can that make you lose height? :p although my doctor said that the version of ilizarov i use have thicker pins that wont break but still its best i am prepared for it, i wont be able to replace it myself if it happens.

Also when you say you had 8 pins, is that the total ammount including the ones on the ankle ring? Because my frames have 12 pins each, and the ankle rings have 6 pins that are thinner than the 6 that are at the rings under the knee. Where your pins of different thicknesses or where they all the same size?

thank you again man!

yeah your pins are huge!! my pins were very thin! I had 7 on each leg. many times I was walking with even 4 pins on one leg. The master Ilizarov said you only need 2 pins on the ankle and 2 near the knee. so it's all good. you have even thicker pins so don't worry about anything really.

I would recommend you thou to lengthen at least .5cms more than you original goal because you never reallynknow how much the pins can bend. Even if he says 3mms max this is not an wxact science so I will go .5cms just to be on the safe side)))

thanks, yeah i think so too, but 2 mm more or less is no big deal for me :) im just confused as to wheter my pins have already bent their maximum, because i have been walking quite a lot overall, but still i used the walker for aid, so for the most part i didnt put full weight on the legs, but i tried to do that every once in a while.

Because if they are already bent, then i am satisfied with what i have now even if the x-ray shows i have only lengthened 3.5 or 3.7 cm, but if there will be more bending once i start walking more without using the walker in consolidation phase, then im worried i wont feel tall enough anymore. Id like to be at the height i am at currently.

The reason this is hard to confirm, is that if my own measurement of myself is correct, then very little pin bending seems to have happened since i am 178-179 right now. But also the spine height fluctuates so im not sure, and also since my weight is like 60 KG then maybe that isnt enough to get the pins to bend until i start walking fully without aid for long walks.

Most likely they won't bend but it all depends on how is your consolidation too

Yeah good point, maybe its safer to wait with walking long walks without aid until i have seen my x-rays. When my x-rays start showing good bone consolidation then both the bone and the pins will hold my weight, so with that combined it should not be able to bend.

On the other side... if you don't put full weight on legs you consolidation will just take longer. So if that doesn't bother then fine I guess. But for the very little amount of lengthening u did. It shouldn't be so bad))

Yup, that's why I think you're luckier than me  ;D
Your body could really handle gain of 14-15cm  without  make you being out of proportion , you done 9cm.. so you still can do 5 more

off course this is just my opinion   ;)

Yes I dream of that. But right now I need to recover, this possibility looks very far away, I have very tight muscles and I struggle with walking. If one day I recover and I get the money I will do it. I spoke to my friend and we will do it together if we do it. It would be amazing to do it together!!)) Internal with a doctor in the US, he already met him and he said it's all good. Maybe one day!?)) I need to recover but I see very little progress. Some days I feel I get worse. Once im back I will be swimming very often.

Yes of course, but whatever you do, you already acomplished something quite amazing -) because lengthening 9 cm on the tibia is a lot. You will probably recover in around a year/ a year and a half. Swimming is the best sport. Good recovery.

On the other side... if you don't put full weight on legs you consolidation will just take longer. So if that doesn't bother then fine I guess. But for the very little amount of lengthening u did. It shouldn't be so bad))

damn.. yeah youre right.. but maybe since i have so many pins they are enough on their own to handle my full body weight for long walks, this week i tried to stand for long periods without aid so hopefully the pin bending is already at its maximum..

I want to be done as soon as possible and like you showed us, walking a lot increases consolidation a LOT, il have to do the same!

Yes walk don't be afraid!!! You will not lose height. That's only fear talking, ive been there trust me!! Your pins will not bend if you are not lengthening!! They might break that's all. But u have so many pins. So you really don't needall of them lol so start walking. RRunning jumping...squatting etc!!)) Take advantage of the privilege of having Ilizarov, which is the allowance of full weight loading on your legs!!)) There are pros and cons with every device and this my friend is a big pro of Ilizarov frames))

So RGKEY, are you beginning to regret lengthening 9cm on tibs? Like are you beginning to feel as if you might have pushed yourself a little too much? I'm getting very worried reading that you see the possibility of recovering very far :( What does this mean? Do you have too much pain in life now? Is it something you wished you had gotten over instead? I thought LL was going to help guys like us get over our fking insecurities :'( Not take the mental pain and turn it into physical anguish.

I honestly hope you recover well and this bloody limb lengthening practice gets refined with each surgery so we don't have to deal with all this extra pain and mental disturbance. Please keep updating how you are feeling and whether you are getting better. Why do you think this is happening to you btw? I mean shouldn't the body just get used to the new bone? :( How difficult can that be? :(
