I can't imagine anyone wants that thing in them.
Can you use a diaper instead?
Edit: Uhh this probably belongs in the Discussions thread.

^Clarified this myself. (This is what I got from the call..)
So if you have spinal anaesthesia and your lower body's numb, and passing urine is difficult, it's necessary or there's no outlet for your urine. But it might not be. In case of general anaesthesia it generally isn't necessary. Pretty relieved since I was dreading the damn thing.

Ye i always thought u get that little toilet plastic thingy.
At least thats what i know from near orthopedic centre.

They are not so bad. Lying in your own pee, or being desperate but unable to pee is worse. They fit them while you are under anaesthesia prior to surgery, but even awake it's not a big deal having one inserted...

Yeah, I had one of my frame surgeries (installation) in which I definitely had it. That was fine.
Pretty sure I didn't have it for frame removal...and after I (partially) woke up, I was left in recovery stewing in my piss for most of a day. I guess a lot of that was due to crappy hospital post-op staff who couldn't bother to give a f.uck, though.
