Ideal one is 6'3" to have the biggest dating pool while at the same time not being too long for your bed, toilet and I estimated most houses where I live to be tall enough.

Are you sure? I've heard from plenty of short women that it can be very inconvenient if their boyfriends are taller than 6'1 or so.

I agree, and I am not so short... (1.64<1.70, after LL).

Lol

So, why do you want to get ll?

this is very true.. i asked many people and they say above 1.83 is too tall.. they think it is difficult to date someone taller than that. so 6 feet is the ideal.

only one girl said that she does not mind 1.90-2.00 metres but that is probably because she is 1.77

it seems for most girls, as long as u are above 173-175, its good. 178-183 is the sweet spot, it is a bonus.

this is speaking from a country where the average is 173-ish

Where are you from ItsMyLife?

I think 180 is the perfect height IMHO. But in my country 173 is also average. I'm living in the UK now and I feel short, everyone here seems to be around 176-190

singapore..

but i think the younger generation the average seems (to me) to be 175, as agreed by some other guys..

statistics wise a large group of 18 year olds had an average of 172.4, that was done 6 years back.

and most people still can grow from 18, so i  would guess the youngster average at least 173-174.

anyway i think even for non-dating purposes there is a point of "too tall"... i mean i wouldnt employ someone too tall.. its too intimidating. .especially when ur the boss. if i were 181-2 cm, i dont mind someone 185 cm + max.

I pretended to be a 6'3" once in a dating site and it went well, the tall girls were going crazy and flirty and none rejected me ( I didn't try to seduce them further because I closed the fake account after a few days ). Those days were more fun than the entire months I spent in my real account getting the bad treatment.

Really? I should try that.

The ideal male height in 7th grade is 5'8" so you are taller than the kids and you can date some older chicks from other groups in school.

Really? I should try that.

You shouldn't try that.

I have.  Yeah you'll get more attention and more dates.  But if you lie about your height by 8 inches how pissed off do you think the girls will be.

You probably won't get many second dates.

Imagine if you show up to meet a 9 or 10 and her pics have been photoshopped and she's a 3 by your standards.  You gonna f*ck her anyway??

I actually used someone elses photo from internet free stock photos and pretended to be 6'3" in another account with a different user name it wasn't be being me it was me being someone else. My advice is to never add inches to your real account unless you wear elevator shoes in which case you are allowed.

I put 5" on my profile, and the dates went well because the women were even more excited when they had to look up to me.

"Guess it was a typo" xD

But in all seriousness, never lie about your height because that not only shows your insecurities, but that you're a liar too.

But... but... you must also be kinda confident and reckless to lie that you're 8" taller and then actually show up for the date, that's hilarious! Like... 'oops, you didn't expect this?'

You are a liar for just lying once? Then we are all liars that can't be trusted. :P

Yeah haha that was the main reason why I did that, but I believe that it wouldn't make too much of a difference if we were of the same height.

Let me revise that - Lying is completely normal, but women can be really picky at times and can pull that out as an "excuse" to make things go "her way."

But really, women who do that are immature, and I don't invest my time driving in circles.

Like a shrimp? Really? OMG! No, no...

Think a lot of women would say otherwise.

Anyway, like someone said, I mostly want to be taller to not feel short anymore. I am the shortest in my famiily by 8CM and the second shortest (dad) is also a bit behind everyone else. I'm also one of the shortest out of my friends at the university and I feel tiny when I walk around town.

That being said -everyone in scandinavia isn't 190+. I would say most men below 60 is somewhere between 180-190CM. It is pretty rare to see someone above 195CM or below 170CM. When enjoying the nightlife in Stockholm it feels like everyone is 187CM or taller, I don't know what it is with the clubs/bars at night -maybe people wear lifts?

That means you're going to have to wear lifts, too, my friend.

in korea the average is supposedly 173 (young army enlistees) but somehow i walk at night on streets, in night areas, the aveaage is 178. i think lifts.

I have a new question: which is the ideal female height? Opinions, please. :)

To me (and I think the vast majority of men) it doesn't matter at all except that we might feel slightly awkward being with a woman bigger than ourselves.

Overall maybe 165-175 is a good range, you won't feel too short/tall, clothes will fit, there will be plenty of guys taller than you and you will rarely be too short/tall to do anything.

If you're above 180 or below 160CM you might be treated differently because of your height -for better or worse, mostly for the worse.

My height--plus or minus a few inches (about two). It makes kissing, cuddling, holding hands, dancing, etc. easier.

well I should be technically 6'.5 in the morning, but claiming your height precisely will make you sound like a smart ass, so rounding up avoids you unnecessary problems
