To LL Veterans

Have any of you had a full recovery? I am 16 currently doing weightlifting and I was wondering if I would be able to perform well strength wise (and speed and athletic wise) after 2 LL surgeries (4-5 cm each segment) in the future.

If you do 5 cm on each segment with a competent doctor and follow an aggressive daily PT regimen, you will recover fully and eventually be able to resume your sports activities. You're 16 though, so you might still grow. Check whether if your growth plates have fused with an endocrinologist.

Thank you, ChrisIsaak. I am very delighted to hear that. I am simply planning for the worst case scenario even though I'm aware I still might grow (turning 17 this May though). And by recovering fully do you mean back to normal? Even with both segments?
