If you lengthen both the tibia and femur, you do it slower. Tibial 0.5 mm/day, femur 0.75 mm/day. Both bones will fuse after 2 months. Generally, you need half a year to get back on your feet.

f you lengthen your tibia by 5 cm, you need 66 days (0.75 mm/day). If you lengthen the femur by 8 cm, you need 80 days (1 mm/day). Both bones will fuse after 2 months.

my foot had swelling but healed after like 20 days i would say after lengthening.
i use my ankle board daily and i walk daily about .9 miles a day . my left foot is feeling alot better. back then it was tight. its getting loose by the day. i just put my ankles in different position while i drive. like knocking out the tightness while i drive.

how are you feeling with ur feet? ballerina foot?

Can anyone who has previously undergone limb lengthening surgery recommend any good and reliable doctors / establishments (preferably in Europe) I could look into. I can never seem to find any good recommendations across the various forums I have visited. For context, I'm from the UK, currently 5'4 and looking to spend around £40,000 / $50,000 / €46,000.
I've heard of places like LiveLifeTaller and WannaBeTaller in Turkey (as these options appear to be cheapest), but I've also seen bad comments about them in previous posts that I've visited.
Would greatly apricate any recommendations or advice, thank you.

Your budget is likely into Dr. Giotiokas at Greece but I believed the cost and expenses have gone up.
Do contact him for consultation and package cost.

You should also budget for food, accommodation and transportation if you intend to stay longer during lengthening period.
If you are opting non-weight bearing nails, you may need to get caregiver or helper if you are doing it alone.

Do a thorough health check on your own before embarking into this journey.
It is long process -- 3 months plus Lengthening + 3 months or more consolidation.
Plan wisely for all aspects like work, financial, physical, emotion and mental.

Good Luck!

i cant imagine doing precice 2.2 alone. being alone in ur room doing everything by urself in a wheel chair. u probably need an asisstance like a caregiver of some kind. doing it in turkey is so convenient u dont even know.

Giotikas or Becker. I think it's better to spend more for this surgery than go to cheap coinflip flaces like Turkey.

With external or internal method, how many of you had swelling or persisting edema in the ankle long after fixator  removal? Is it possible to reach zero swelling one day?

And another question is about the foot mobility. Im starting to the range of motion and flexibility of Achilles tendon is permanently limited.. is it possible to ever go back to normal function?

No you won’t need to do arm lengthening.
