We've got ourselves a truly international community here with users ranging from Russia to spain, america to asia -basically all over the place.
I thought I'd be nice to get to know eachothers countires (provided you're willing to share) and learn of the context we're coming from. It might just be a welcome break from all the talk about height and surgery.
Oh, and let's see if we can't make the first nation-related thread devoid of typical racism and predjudices on the internet shall we?
I'll start:
-----------------------
As some of you know I'm from Sweden -a small country on the scandinavian peninsula in northern europe. With roughly 9,5 million inhabitants it doesn't figure much in the worlds collective mind but what it is famous for is mostly some exports (Ikea, Volvo, Skype, Spotify), the characteristic "nordic look" complete with blonde hair and blue eyes and for being a rather progressive and affluent place.
Overall it's a calm Country with long cold winters but also suprisingly pleasant summers. The geography is mostly forests, meadows and mountains, a low population density means there is plenty of nature occasionally interrupted by smaller towns. Highly urbanised most of the swedes live in cities such as Gothenburg, Uppsala, Malmö or Stockholm these are comparatively large for such a small population -more than 2 million live in the Stockholm metropolitan area.
The Swedish society is well-run and rich, based on social-liberal principles. There is little crime, no real poverty in the true sense of the word and in general very high standards of living. However before you book your flight remember that income taxes are quite high (though they're considerable lower than they used to be), the labor market is saturated and the swedes themselves are known -quite rightly- for being rather introverted and conformist, I must say this is probably true.
Feel free to tell of your own country or to ask me anything.

I associate Sweeden (o Suecia) to Ingmar Bergman's films.
Anyway, I'm from Chile, a large but skinny country in South América. We are known for ... well idk what we are known for really, but we have one of the best standar of living here in SA and lot of ppl from SA come here to work. Oh yeah we are kind of well known for our wine and pisco 8), althought some peruvians say that pisco is thems.
Well I havent meet people from center and south america in this forum, i'd be nice to know if some vecinos latinos are here.
Sorry for my bad english, my german is way better

Yeah I'm very fascinated with South America and their women. So gorgeous. And at your height 5'10.5" you'd definitely feel tall there!

Chile is known for their Salas and Zamorano, World Cup '98.

That's right, everyone is so fascinated with scandinavian women and I just don't see why. South american women are just as beautiful and much more curvy:

You wont see that in Norway.

Sofia Vergara yup. She's white not mixed race like most Latin Americans (except for Brazil and Argentina) though.

You know what I mean though

I'm from South-east Michigan on the border of Ohio in a little town called Temperance. It's a pretty nice town. The climate is one of intense, hot summers and cold, brutal winters. When I went to primary and secondary school, a lot of days were cancelled because of the harsh snow storms of up to a foot of snow.
The people are very homogenous ethnically. About 96% of inhabitants are white (according to the most recents stats), with very few Hispanics, Asians, and Blacks. I'm part-Hispanic, and I was one of the ones at my school. However, I can say that race and ethnicity have never been a problem in our town; there are very, very few people whom I've encountered whom express any type of ethnic or racial animosity against "minorities". We also have a lot of hunters and target shooters at our school. That's one perk of living in America: the gun stores. We have one just up the street, and although you need a background check and some licenses to buy them, you get to check out and hold any gun in the store. It is a sweet place. :D

I am from Wadiya. Its pretty hot there...

I am from West Texas (El Paso), a melting pot of Mexican and American cultures, being Mexican the culture and American the social traits. You feel the same social segregation feeling as in any other American city, still you can enjoy the Mexicanisms of the city. It is weird. The majority of the people here are mexicans, but they don't even act like that. They have lost all that "mexican friendliness" and empathy. They are just a bunch of robots created by the American social system as well. Oh and there is this Fort in the end of the city that brings a lot of americans from all the places of the country into this city.

Well that does sound nice although the gun stores seem kind of absurd from a european point of view. Contrary to popular belief Sweden isn't that ethnicallu homogenous, though the culture is the same everywhere, some of the largest minorities are finns, danes, norveigans, kurds, irakier and somalis. People that don't immigrate from the western world might face various degrees of discrimination not gonna lie but it's very slight and almost never overt.
-By the way will you really lenghten to 185CM from 169? That is ambitious indeed.

I think he has the same sitting height as me so he may be fine. But lengthening more than 5" is not recommended but I think almost everyone unless their diminutive would be happy over a 5" gain.

Man I should go to Mexico. I love Mexican women.

What about his trso width? His shoulders, arms and hands might be strangely small at 185CM

He'd probably have to go to the gym and build mass. I'm also probably gonna have to as well even on a 2" gain cause 190cm+ guys usually have distinctly broader shoulders than 183-189cm guys.

My shoulder width is about 23 inches. Torso length is about 22 inches, with a 98 cm sitting height.
