Dr. Jean Cole does ISKD surgery at the Florida Hospital Orthopaedic Institute orlandoflorida. I'll provide the link to his website. I'll try emailing him for the price.

Thanks Read.
That isnt very far from Tampa at all. hour and half drive tops.
I wonder if he would do follow ups for fitbone or precise? Can you ask him or should I call him?
-
It looks like he only does ISKD, but the newer ISKDs are supposed to be pretty nice. I'll ask him when I email him.

ISKD?

With the newer IKSD's, do the patient and doctor have to decide how much the nail will distract before lengthening, or can this be decided during lengthening, like on other nails?
On the old model, one had to decide how far the nail would distract before the operation, and that number couldn't be changed once the nail was implanted.

I emailed him too but no reply yet.

ISKD?
ISKD is an internal nail that Dr. Cole invented about twenty years ago. It fell off of everyone's radar after there were a few malfunctions, but apparently the newer nails aren't as flawed.

I just sent Dr. Coleman email asking him about the price of the procedure, estimated recovery time, etc.

hm, but I fear the magnet concept's potency for risks of failure...

Awesome please let us know as soon as you know. Also could you ask about physical therapy (cost, is it included in price etc).
Iskd, is this strictly wheel chair bound or some weight bearing? transfers?
