Title: Fixing Fibula to Tibia?

To those who have had tibial lengthening done is this standard practice?

I read that some doctors such as Salameh don't fix it during lengthening.
I can't imagine this would be a good thing.

Is it required, what happens if its not fixed?

It should be standard practice, but, unfortunately, it isn't.
