This is from my personal experience even if you are way below average most people will think you are absolutely crazy and this is ridiculous that you would pay someone to break your perfectly normal legs, when I saw the orthopaedic doctor and explained it was self inflicted he looked shock, probably because he's seen people with genuine deformities and can't comprehend why someone would do thus even though he was 6.2 himself, I think LL is something only a few would understand and of course other ppl who are considering it

Having someone with you would definitely help make the process more tolerable. My surgeon won't even accept you as a patient if you're a local and don't have at least one family member or caretaker to look after you during the process (doesn't apply to international patients though) because it's such an exhausting and frustrating experience, especially when by yourself.

I did LL pretty much all on my own in a foreign country (and I had no caretaker either, except for when my dad visited me). Where there's a will, there's a way :)

I used a backpack, and pretty much ate out a lot. It was hard, but I did it :)

well as a first step i told my sister in law and she just blasted at me then i showed the forum and made her understood the need for me increasing my height and she is some what convinced. as part of my plan i used to ask my mother to give me the money required for the op without saying the need and finally she got irritated and asked me the need and i told her and showed her the need for it and how i am gonna achieve big things with my new height blah blah and just educated her that its not like cutting the whole leg into 2 pieces, but i also told her its a painful surgery and in the end it is totally worth it, now she is convinced but told me to concentrate on my course right now. typical mothers :)
