..or for those done with majority of their CLL.
1. What was the worst pain throughout the experience?
2. How much would you rate the pain on 10, 0 being painless and 10 being excruciating, unbearable, torturous pain?
3. Was the experience more or less painful than you imagined before doing it?
4. What other pain did you face (apart from simply the legs hurting) like sleep deprivation and frustration?

1) The first night after the numbness from the epidural wore off. Constant throbbing in the legs and a lot of swelling. Also had pain underneath my right thigh. Had to take some pain meds and get an injection that night. I don't remember if I even got any sleep that night.
2) Night I described above was probably a 6, but it wouldn't let up so it got really annoying and almost unbearable because there was no break where the pain would ease off for a while. This one time I slipped on the ledge leading into the bathroom and fell. Hit my head on the wall. That was pretty bad. Worst jolts of pain I had were in the middle of the night when I'd be awakened by my muscles tightening around the pins and wires really quickly before releasing. Was like a quick 1 second spike to a 9 level pain or so but then it would disappear.
3) I think less than I imagined. But it still didn't make it a walk in the park by any means.
4) Worst aspect of it was sleep deprivation. It was nigh-impossible to get a full night of sleep, even taking a pain med and sleepign pills. I don't think I ever got a full night of sleep when the frames were on, even while consolidating. It might be different if you go internals. It's also irritating how exhausting it was to simply walk to the bathroom and back at first. Took forever because I had to walk slowly and carefully.

interestingly my sleeping is quite decent, i am using monorail and i get around 4-5 hours sleep a night.
although maybe that seems a bit low i do feel well rested in the morning.

Are you taking sleeping pills, or completely natural sleep?

Do sleeping pills' effects fade/lessen/weaken over time? I'd only take those if necessary, I feel like they could tamper with your natural sleep and make your body too dependant on them.

I do, that's the point, to be informed before going into LL. What method did you use?
