If it's none of those options, post your experience as a reply.

I had to quit doing physical therapy because my knees were so stiff and in so much pain.  I just laid back and watched my legs grow for 5 months and worried about recovery after I got the frames off.

How did you turn out fine without PT?

Also I know you did external tibias, will internals(Precice) on femurs be significantly easier for PT?

Your muscles and tendons can recover at any time.  It doesn't have to be during the bone lengthening phase.

I think you'll probably have an easier time of PT without the bulky frames I had.

as long as ur walking abit each day, only light physio therapy is required.. ofcoarse the more u do with physio the quicker you will return to normal.. but most people get lazy with physio.. but in the long run it wont make a difference.. and physio isnt painful at all. unless ur a pussy

That's good to know. ;D

I won't be "lazy" with PT. I'll either bear the pain or do it later if I can't.

Its brutal some days. Started off easy for me then holy crap.

It wasn't so absolutely unbearable that I ever skipped a day, but after a sleepless night it sucked so badly lugging yourself into the wheelchair to get there knowing you would be in pain and had much more of that that week to look forward to.

There was one day I did somewhat crack and ask him to destroy me a little less since I was really strung out.

How many hours a day is it? Half an hour?

Hour session with them, but you must do more independently, preferably with family or friends to help.

So they'll show you some exercises and then you have to do them? Cause I have a personal trainer. I could video tape them making me do the exercises and then duplicate that with the trainer at home.

You sure they don't have to guide you each time?

When you are headed back home they film a video series with you, so I don't think doing that sooner would be a problem.

Are you talking about Paley? I'm not going to him. Also I refuse to be filmed in a video series for their benefit or show, if one will be filmed, it'll be ONLY for me.

Yeah thats uh... What I'm saying... It is for you to show physical therapists. But yea Im talking about Paley. You're gonna need to find your own physical therapists if you don't go with him so I can't comment on how they handle things.

I plan on going to Parihar. After years/decades of doing LL stuff, surely he must have some PT recommendations..

Recommendations is a little different than a team that specializes in it. But yeah you will probably find someone who can help.
