Title: What's the difference between Precice and Precice 2?

I'm assuming Precice 2 is costlier, more weight-bearing and sturdier?
Can anyone give the specific differences? Couldn't find this online.

You are right about PRECICE2 being more weight bearing and sturdier than the PRECICE nail. The PRECICE nail is modular and according to Dr.Birkhtolz and several studies online, the PRECICE nails failed at the modular joints. The modules are not present in the PRECICE2 nail. I'm not sure but I think the PRECICE nail does not come in 12.5mm while the PRECICE 2 nail does come in 12.5mm along with 10.7mm and 8.5mm.
Also PRECICE2 lengthens up to 8.5cm while the PRECICE nail only lengthens up to 6.5cm.

That's news to me. So to do 8cms I have to do PRECICE 2. Thanks!
Does it cost significantly more? God, I hope Dr. Parihar has PRECICE 2.

I don't think there is much cost difference between both nails.
Dr.Parihar does offer PRECICE 2 and I would check with him to see whether there is a cost difference between both nails.

I don't think Precice is made anymore.  Precice 2 seems to have replaced it.
