You could probably do that and look fine.  Your legs look kind of short, but those baggy shorts are probably contributing to the appearance of shortness in the legs.

good to hear that. yes the funny thing is that my sitting height is the same as my friend whose maybe 6'1/6'2. but if i stand up my legs dont look very short and his dont look very tall. it confuses me

I'd rather do 3 inches If I was you, less is usually better when it comes to long term recovery.
5'11 isn't that short, even in a country like the netherlands, I assume you're from there due to your name.
You'd need a lot of money and time for 5 inches btw.

yes im from holland. 6'1 is my dream height. so i have to lenghten each bone by 6 cm. the only thing im afraid from is looking like an alien with extreme long legs.

and would i not be very unproportionate if i only lengthen one segment by 3 inch? isnt it better to do 2 surgeries to look more proportionate?

As usual I'm the conservative. My leg length look similar to yours, perhaps even slightly shorter, and I will not lengthen more than 6CM max to stay in proportion.

I would aim for a gain of 5-6CM, but that's just me.

i think it also depends on your current height. if youre just 5 foot with my proportions, lengthening 6 cm could get you out of proportions. but if your 6'2 with my proportions 6 cm will do nothing. but i dont know whats the maimum for my height (174 cm morning and 172,5 at night)

never measured my inseam, but i wear jeans with a length of 76 cm. and i can say theyre a lil bit too tall for my legs. my sitting height must be around 97 cm then.

my inseam calculation was totally wrong, ive measured my knee height and it contained around 50 cm.

Measure your inseam by putting a book up your crotch ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)    like this:  (http://www.truebicycles.com/contents/media/inseam_measuerment.jpg)

Then you calculate your ratio like this inseam/height. I've got a 46,5% ratio, general consensus is that anything more than 48% is pushing it.
