It was typical day in India in April of 2013. The weather was becoming warmer. It was my 4th month in India for limb lengthening at Dr. Sarin's guesthouse and that morning my roommate and I both have pancakes for breakfast. We are both bound to our beds due to our operations and Dinish is the indian maid who brings us our 3 meals per day. I am eating my last bite when suddenly I receive a phone call from Canada. I feel a little bit uncomfortable because I don't often receive calls and usually if I do receive calls, they're often bad news. My roommate from Canada is on the other end and he said, "C****, "I just saw your girlfriend leaving the house at 10pm and entering another man's car." It is dark and rainy night in Vancouver.
My heart drops for a moment. Then I call her cellphone. After several attempts, she finally answers the phone. I feel something is wrong. She is speaking to me in a washroom because I can hear the vibration of the washroom. I ask her if she is going to wait for me. She says, the answer is the same. (I have asked this question before). Then I tell her how much I miss her.
3 weeks later while I await to have my 5th surgery at Dr. Sarin's Hospital to re-break my lower tibiae. The prospect is gloomy. I had 4 surgeries before this and none of them ended up well. My girlfriend dumps me at this moment. My roommate describe to me the last time that he sees her. And this image still lingers in my mind. She is with another guy who came with a white Mercede Benz. And he helps her move out of the house. After 4 months of promise to wait, it finally comes to an end.
It was a hard feeling for me but it was also good because I could then focus on the danger at hand. My problem at that moment was that I have stayed in India for 4 months so far. My funds are running out. I came to India with zero dollar. It was all borrowed money from the credit line. My left leg was at only 3cm and the bone has already consolidated and the right leg was at 6cm. Some people told me to just shorten my right by 3cm, to make both 3cm, and then go home. I refused!
How did it came to this? Well, for one, I lengthened too slowly for my body. I only turned at 1.25 but my left consolidated. Plus I was consuming too much calcium supplement. And for two, I had a host of other problems before that, like the pin was hitting my nerve in the first month of January. I couldn't bend my knee. So we were focusing on how to deal with those problems. Then in February, I had a knee infection and was incapacitated for 1 month. In March, I realized my leg wasn't lengthening. Everything was bending, the metal frame was bending, the pin was bending, but my leg was the same. Dr. Sarin did a few tweaking but it didn't work. So came April and after 4 months, I only achieved 3cm.
After my girlfriend dumped me, my head became clearer. I realized I had only 1.5 months left. I had exactly 28 days to lengthen and 20 days after that to recover in India before I have to go back home. That wasn't what the doctor advised, but I had to come home. I was in debt for 23k at that time so I needed my job. My company only allowed me another 2 months.
So at that moment, I already had 5 surgeries. I realized that I needed to turn 2mm per day for the next 28 days to achieve 8cm. Again, it wasn't advised, but that was exactly what I did. I came to the operation room on May 28 with 8.2cm (from 3cm) on my left leg and 7.8cm on my right. Dr. Sarin was shocked to see that I got so much in such a short time. I asked Dr. Sarin to cut it to 8cm and he did.
My next problem was that my legs seem like they were all butchered up from so many operations that I wasn't going to walk again. (I will post the pictures later).
I certainly didn't planned for my LL journey to be like this. Just few months before coming to India, I stumble on a website call old forum . I didn't have any money so Dr. Sarin was the only choice.
Why did I took such a big risk? I don't know. The only diary which I read was STforLife and he didn't fully recover. So what was I thinking? I had everything in Vancouver, a girlfriend who I have met for 2 months and who liked me despite my height. I have an okay job.
All along I didn't know I was walking into a profit scheme created by Sysop/Apot (aka sysop) and Crazy 6+. Crazy was also offering some wrong advices in India who screwed me over. And I wouldn't hire Sunny again. He kept telling me he already tried his best. When the air condition broke, I spent many sleepness night drowning in my own sweat at Indian's scotchingly hot summer temperature of 50+ degrees.
Anyway, despite all the trouble, I still think Dr. Sarin wasn't that bad when I was there. He offered LL at an affordable price. I wasn't expecting a spa. And I was treated with respect. I had 6 surgeries in all and stayed there for 6 months. So I really don't think he has made that much money off from me. Sandy was the next manager after Sunny. Sandy was good and he took good care of me and my roommate.

Just ran 2 quick laps today. Btw, I'm not Korean and I don't understand a single word. I just used some random songs on youtube to tune out my voice to keep my ID unknown.
Blackhawk
My speed is not that fast but it is improving. I feel my ankle gets stronger each time I do this.

Cool. I'm glad to contribute to this forum and share my experience with other short people.
As you can see, my scars are horrendous. I need to work on this before summer arrives.
-
Your running looks pretty good considering what you have gone through, and it looks like you were moving fast enough to get a good workout.
What do you plan on doing for the scars? Do you think they will improve much on their own?
-
Thanks for posting that video! Your running is incredible for what you've gone through. Loved reading your story too.
-
Thank you for sharing that video! It''s awesome to see your progress after all the hardship you went through physically.
-
This is incredible! For months I've been hoping for someone to post something like this. People like you are the reason this site is much better and more helpful than old forum . Thank you, thank you, thank you! After all that you went through, this running speed isn't bad at all! And, it'll only improve with time. You, sir, are an inspiration. A few quick questions, if you don't mind:
1. Did your legs (knees, tendons, etc) hurt for days after this?
2. Are your legs completely straight? To me, in the vid, they looked like they have slight bumps and curves, but is this just an optical illusion created by the scarring?
3. How do you know that sysop is SysOp's real name?
PS. Your tibia to femur proportions look great! Your mirror must like you a lot more now ;D.
Thanks so much, and keep up the great work,
Tall

Can you describe how 8cm difference make you feel? How do people react differently than before? Thanks.
-
I wish you a complete recovery Smallguy, after what you went through you truly deserve it. You are a warrior and you can be proud of the mental strenght that you have. Hope you are enjoying the new height as well (im sure you do ;) )
-
I'm very happy for you that you managed to overcome so many complications in India and end up being able to run. Quite an accomplishment.
-
Yes, looks very good considering the amount of surgeries you had to go through.
Is there anyway you can place the camera on the floor to capture the lower part of your body, then run/walk forth and back inside the camera view?

Smallguy,
Your video is amazing. Thank you so very much for documenting the proof of a post-LL recovery. Wish you the best with the rest of your recovery period. Man, the roads in Canada are so alike the roads in the US.. I already miss being there. I miss driving on the highway.
In your spare time, could you share the names of the Korean songs? Lol - they're pretty good. How do you know so much about Korean bands?
-
Great video, thanks man.
Yeah those scars are quite visible, i think you should wait a little more and then do a surgery to improve it.
Very impressive diary.

Chapter 2 - Vengeance
For the next 28 days, I proceed to lengthen my left at 2mm. I rely on 2 pills of painkiller a day to help me get through. Every moment is an episode of agonizing pain, like an electric shock that shoots through your legs. But even several months later when I was at home, I told people that the pain of being dumped by my ex was far greater than the physical pain which I have endured in India, which was true.
When I came back home on Jun.24, I realized that she has folded all my clothes neatly, placed a letter on the table explaining where everything was, and also prepared my toothbrush/toothpaste. She still wrote the shape of a heart on that piece of letter. Despite all these efforts, I feel bitterness and resentment. I became a cold and unemotional individual since my return home. I hadn't had a successful relationship ever since.
I remember exactly one year ago - this very month. I part with my ex girlfriend. She likes me for who I am and begs that I don't go. Don't go - I remember the words so vividly in my head. I am cold at this time and don't want her to escort me to the airport because she might cry. It's ironic that within 5 months our position changes. I become the sensitive guy and she becomes cold and mean. Had I know that moment would be the last time I meet her, I would have tried to hug her more tightly and dearly.
What made me took such a drastic measure to change my life? Well, all my life I have seen myself as the underdog. I was bullied at school and at home. My opponents were often genetically gifted and far superior than I was, both in size and in strength. And I had to pay for it. The first encounter left me with a signature scar on my right cheek. And when I was 17, I was out-punched by a opponent who was both taller and has more reach than I have, which left me with a crooked nose for life. I was so tired of being out-competed by bigger male rival in jobs, in relationship, and even for air space. Going to India was one of the many plans I have for myself to better myself... to survive.
Years ago, I watch a movie. It was about the Isle of Gold where the main male character had a dream of going off far into this far away land to find the Isle of Gold. He thought this would make him happy by finding gold. So he left all his friends, family, and his girlfriend to pursue this dream. Years later, he found out that the Isle of Gold was actually the Isle of Volcano. And he ended up with ashes in his hand. By the time that he arrived home, his girlfriend has already married to another man. And seeing her with her family, he realized at that moment that his happiness was already at home years ago. It was being with his family, friends and girlfriend... and not some phantom dream which turned out to be a pile of ashes. Does this 8cm truly makes me a happier person now?

Thank you all for your comments
What do you plan on doing for the scars? Do you think they will improve much on their own?
They haven't improve on their own. My body is very bad with healing scars. My plan is to use Skinceutical Blemish Removal. It costs around $80 and it works for removing blemish and imperfection on faces. But I plan on using this serum on my leg.
1. Did your legs (knees, tendons, etc) hurt for days after this?
2. Are your legs completely straight? To me, in the vid, they looked like they have slight bumps and curves, but is this just an optical illusion created by the scarring?
3. How do you know that sysop is SysOp's real name?
Tall
1. No, I haven't felt any pain since my frames were removed back in May. And I go to the gym almost every single day, exercise for a few hours, and it never hurts.
2. Yes, the lumps are from where the pin-site used to be. That is the problem with using the external frame because the pin rips through your muscle. Some patients get lucky. My right leg seems to have no lumps but my left has two.
3. I didn't meet Sysop because I was staying at the hotel at that time. But another patient, Machine's roommate told me this.
-
Can you describe how 8cm difference make you feel? How do people react differently than before? Thanks.
People normally cares only about their own height. And if they are already tall people, then they don't notice anyone. The only 3 men at my company who noticed me were short men. They didn't think I grew taller - but they became shorter.
I feel a lot of weight has been relieved from my back.
In your spare time, could you share the names of the Korean songs? Lol - they're pretty good. How do you know so much about Korean bands?
Yeah, I think the best place to recover is being at home.
1. Epik high - pieces
2. 2pm - again and again
3. Epik high - girls
4. Boa Yoona - only one
My city is infiltrated by Koreans. I met a few in downtown. I liked one of them so I'm listening to their music to understand their culture.

So, you already did, 8 CM, and you'd like 8 CM more in late 2014!? Wow, I'm jealous ;D But, I've got to give it to you, you are really one brave guy.
You'll end up 185 CM or 6'1 if all goes according to plan, correct? That's awesome! But, do you think your proportions will accommodate such long new legs? Or do you value height above proportions?
If you don't mind my asking, what are your sitting height and wingspan measurements? I'd also like to reach 6'1, and often wonder if I'd still look proportionate.
Thanks,
Tall

Yes, I have x-legs which is the comfortable stance. But if I try I can put my knee and akle together.

No worries. Your time will come. At least there are others ahead of you who you can acquire knowledge from so you don't have to suffer from the same mistakes :)
My armspan is 174-176cm
Sitting height 59cm
Proportion is very important for me. I don't want to look like cartoonist. I'm aiming for another 3 inches. This decision was made after spending several months at the gym looking at my proportion in the mirror and at pictures of myself. I do feel I have room for 3 more inches.
I'm wearing high platform nike shoes now, which I purchase before when I was 5'6. If I were to have another 8cm, I would come back home and wear flat shoes. So the 1 inch would be for the shoes and 2 inches would be bonus.
-
It looks like you will be able to lengthen another 3 inches on your femurs and look fine.
Did you mean to type 89 for your sitting height?
-
thank you for the video.
I will be honest:
-frontal view standing looks bad because of the x-legs
-sideview walking and standing looks completely normal
-sideview running looks strange, but its obvious u're cautious and holding back. so we'll see when u have recovered.
when it comes to proportion, i actually think couple of inches on femur would do you wonders.

You were right buddy. I just remeasured myself. My sitting height is 90cm and my armspan is 172cm.

An honest opinion is always appreciated. That's why I made that video for you guys :-)
So x-leg is one issue future LL-ers should look out for. I mentioned this to the staff at the Sarin's guesthouse and to the doctor himself. They all told me that it will fix itself once I start walking again. But I guess it didn't.

great video. .i think your x legs are not bad. .

Cool. Good to know! I'm doing daily jogging to see if that helps.
Great videos! How are the scars?
Thanks!
Nothing's change. That video was only taken last week. But now I'm more serious with dealing with my scars. I'm currently using a blemish removal cream for the scars and will let you know in 1-month time if it works.

I just watched your video again, are you wearing lifts?

Great vid yo 8)
Im not a fan of the Korean music editing thought... it looks like a Korean soap for teenagers.
You should put some Rocky 3 soundtrack instead 8)

Congrats man and thanks a lot for the great video! Having someone who takes his time to put together a video that will for sure help us all, this must be appreciated!

No problem. Congratulation to you as well for achieving 8.3cm. How is your condition?
-
I just watched your video again, are you wearing lifts?
Haha, good observation. Yes, but we call it differently here. It's call insole for arch support, and everyone wears them, even my ex female manager at 5'11. It's .5 inch thick. So with my nike shoes at 1 inch, I'm 5'10.5 (5'9 + .5 insole + 1 nike shoes) in the video.
I have this love/hate relationships with my nike shoes. I have wanted to get rid of them for a long time, but I don't feel comfortable without wearing them. That's why if I'm lucky enough to do another LL operation for 3 inches, I would come back wearing a pair of Mephisto flat shoes. I have a pair of Mephisto dress shoes for work and they feel great.
Great vid yo 8)

Haha, thanks for the advice.
That's true. I don't even understand a word of what he's saying. But the singer is a short guy, so he is singing from a perspective of a short man.
My next video will feature some upbeat Rocky ost or Mike Tyson underdog music for sure.

I actually did 8cm according to Dr Sarin measurement on the table before frame removal.
I am doing good, thanks. My only issue is ballerina and I guess this is one of the issues that delays recovery. I currently have something like around 4cm ballerina but I am working very hard to fight them. Walking walking and walking on top of my daily PT.

Thanks for the info regarding the hydrolic nail.
Ballerina usually goes down by itself. I find jogging helps with my ankle agility. Good to hear that you achieve your goal.
Would you consider another femur operation? Or it's too early to tell? Keep in touch!

Chapter 3 Loss of Sex Drive
It was 10pm at night in August and I was taking this chic home who I met several hours ago at a bakery shop. I must have impressed her a lot that day. I did the usual as I have done hundred of times in the past when I take a girl out on a date. I would them to the beach to see the sunset, cross the bridge to see the ocean view, and if we have time, I would take them up to the mountain. There with the full-view of the city, I would tell a story about my journey in India and how every lunch-time I would cross the bridge to go to my ex girlfriend former workplace for lunch.
At that moment when I take my current date home, she asked me for a farewell hug. I reached over to reach her, but I guessed she wanted something more. She stared into my eyes, and told me, "it's alright." I asked it's alright what. She said it's alright that I can kiss her. But I didn't feel interested and I couldn't get started. That was the typical relationship which I had since I came back home. My interest for women has really wane off completely. I met three women since I came back and my relationship with all of them ended badly. After that I decided it's better to lead the life of being single. The 8 seconds of pleasure is not worth the 8 hours of bull .
Oh, and another significant thing I have done since I came back was to visit my ex girlfriend's former workplace. It's a cafe shop in downtown between Robson and Jervis. When I go there, it feels like how she has describe it to me back in February. I guess there is something in life which is really hard to let go.

Here a video I made today at the gym. I want to contribute something to this forum and its member.
I tried to do some martial art but felt a little bit awkward since I have no formal training in this field.
Background: Office Clerk
Height: 5'6 (written on my driver license) but 5'10.5 in the video (5'9 + 1 inche nike shoes + .5 insole)
It seems like I have lanky legs. But keep in mind that I am wearing very short shorts and I place the camera on the ground shooting upward.

Thanks a lot for the video. I wish more people would show post-op videos of themselves. How do your legs feel when going on the treadmill? Do you get any shin pain at all after a while or do your legs feel normal?
-
I am positively surprised by your latest video.
You look proportional. And you can even stand and lift weights. That is impressive to be frank.
Keep pushing the limits, thats how you get stronger.
Regarding the sex issues, I think it's just that you are not ready yet to go on with your life. You still have feelings for your ex. It takes time, but eventually you will find a new girl.
-
Smallguy, that video was boss! You look so natural to me, and your proportions look great. :D How do your legs feel after having that kind of workout?
Regarding sex drive, is everything working fine down there? :o (that's legitimately one of my biggest fears)
-

No pain. I can kick a tree trunk now if I want... so they just feel normal.
I think my biggest issue is just trying to get my ankle strength back. That's why I find doing jumping jacks or skipping ropes would help.
Keep pushing the limits, thats how you get stronger.
Thanks! It will be your turn soon. I look forward to reading your own LL journey.

I don't feel anything. The only thing that stops me from running longer is my heart beats too quickly and I'm out of breath. Otherwise, I do feel some discomfort in my ankle and quad muscle but that doesn't stop me from going farther.
lol.... I guess everyone's post LL problem is different. Luckily I don't have knee-pain or any other pain.
I think I'm getting a little impatient with girls, which is a crucial element if you want to date them. If my interest ever comes back, I will try to solve this problem. These days, if I can squeeze into a pair of tight jean, I'm sexually satisfied :)

First of all, really amazing video, nice work, and nice recovery! Looking forward to more in the future.
I have to respectfully disagree with the people saying you look proportional though. You don't look like a freak or anything, so don't worry about that, but it's pretty obvious that your knees are higher up than most people's and that your femurs are a bit short, it's especially easy to see when you bend your knees. With regards to your upper body/sitting height vs leg length proportions it's a bit hard to say if you look proportionate or not unless we know your exact measurements and see a whole body photo.
And before anyone says it - of course it might very well be the case that most people not aware of limb lengthening wouldn't really see anything weird at all unless they already knew. With LL it's always a question of proportions vs overall height. In the end what matters most is what you're comfortable with.
If you lengthen your femurs your femur/tibia ratio will obviously look more natural, but then you risk that stilty look where your upper body and sitting height are too short and that might be really obvious and you'd have to begin compensating for your off proportions with various clothing tricks. Personally I don't think I would do it.
-
You have beautiful long legs that only the most discriminating LL enthusiasts would notice anything off about. ;)
-
That was nice. I wish I had such a nice gym to go to.
I've been trying to record a video for 2 months now :-X

Thanks for the comment. Proportion is a big thing for me because I have personally seen many patients at Sarin's guesthouse who lengthen themselves to be out of proportion. And it didn't look good one bit. My first roommate who lengthened from 5'3.5 to 5'11 and he stood next to an indian maid who was 5'10 to show me how tall he was. My roommate crotch was at the same level as the indian maid's stomach.... can you imagine, two guys with the same height. One has a dck level as another guy stomach. And he was obese too. So he looked like a balloon with two long pair of legs. I told him that "his proportion looks great," but inside, I knew that he didn't look good one bit.
Actually, Apo said that after lengthing 20cm (?) women have a deary look when they see him. I suspect that they look that way not out of admiration like he has hoped, but because they feel sorry for him now that he looks like a freak.... with long skinny legs, rounded upper body and bald head. If you see Tall from old forum , you'll see another idiot who is now over 6'5 (12cm femur + 6.5cm tib?) And people would have less respect for him than when he was at his original height of 5'10. Sorry guys, I'm bit harsh in these comments because I just had a good-day.
You see myself looking in the video that way because
1. I'm wearing 1.5 inches lift (1inch nike shoes + .5 insole) and
2. I place the camera on the ground shooting upward.
So if you were to see me in person, I look nothing like what's shown in the video. Plus, my dream is always to be able to wear Mephisto flat shoes. Unfortunately, I don't feel good without my high heel nike shoes. So by completing another 3 inches, 1.5 will be for wearing flat shoes and 1.5 will be for vanity sake, I wouldn't look that much taller than what you see in the video.
-
You have beautiful long legs that only the most discriminating LL enthusiasts would notice anything off about. ;)
Thanks buddy. I feel like I can compete with my ex now that I see the word "beautiful" applies to me. Something which never happens before.
That was nice. I wish I had such a nice gym to go to.
I've been trying to record a video for 2 months now :-X
If I have I would have recorded outside. My city is known for its mountain, beaches, bridges and beautiful scenery.
Well, if you like what you see, you can always move here if you want :D

I enjoy sticking to my root. I remember where I came from. Even if I can do another surgery for +8cm, I will always appreciate and look out for the little guy. Whenever there is a fight or a competition, I always root for the small guy.

Me too! Seeing Russell Wilson at 178-180 CM triumph over 196 CM Peyton Manning in the Super Bowl (sorry if you don't watch American football) was incredibly inspirational for me. "Experts" told him that he was too small to succeed and he proved them wrong. It shows that there is hope for the small guys out there and that we can achieve anything. We just have to work harder for it, but, hey, that means that we appreciate it more when we succeed!

Thanks for the info regarding the hydrolic nail.
Ballerina usually goes down by itself. I find jogging helps with my ankle agility. Good to hear that you achieve your goal.
Would you consider another femur operation? Or it's too early to tell? Keep in touch!
No way for a 2nd LL. I am done with this and pretty much OK with my achieved height (Should be around 5'11 now from 5'8).
Thanks
-
Hey Smallguy,
First of all you look great ;).
I have to be honest and say you have x-legs, one is more "bent" than the other.
Don't worry though, my friend (studying medics in university) said that it is actually not that bad as it is as long it's not the bone that is "bent". If it's the bone the only way to fix this is by a surgery. If not you can fix it by daily excercise and training.
Maybe seek a doctor and show him your x rays?
-
Thanks Doflamingo,
This quest for bodily beauty has really taken a toll on me. If I could trade this 3 inches to have my gf back, I would trade it at once.
After this, I was hoping that my LL would have a perfect ending. Unfortunately I still have x-Ray and my left is shorter than my right by 1cm. I'm more eager now to see my orthopaedic than ever. Hopefully he can fix this and will update you on the x-Ray!
And for you. Contrary to what other ppl say and base on your own situation, I think you should go for 3 + 3. 3inches on the tib using Lon to save money. And +3 on femur using internal.
I think if you're Asian than you should have the proportion to lengthen this much! At 5'8 life would be great still and who knows. If you live long enough there may even be technology to lengthen your torso one day.
-
Hi Smallguy, you look great with your proportion.
I think you should reconsider doing another 8cm and go for more conservative LL on your femur, as you might be near your optimum proportion already.
BTW, are you serious about this statement?
If you live long enough there may even be technology to lengthen your torso one day.
Thanks.
-
Yes, I'm serious. My credibility has taken a dive by now. But I didn't say it just to cheer short ppl but I truly believe it. I know I'm more optimistic than most guys on this forum. But as technology advances and there is a market for this procedure, torso lengthen, entrepreneur/doctors will capitalize on this procedure once the technology becomes available :-)
Thanks. I'm wearing 1.5 inches of platform in the video. So I think I could have room for at least 5cm more and come back home to wear flat shoes. But I will be careful of not overdoing it if I ever have a chance for another LL at all.
-
I wish you all the best brother, whichever way you decide!
Hope it will turn out well in the end.
;)

Thanks. These surgeries are riddle with complications and random outcome. Even if you go with the very best doctor, it's very hard to achieve a perfect outcome. I have read of many post-surgical complications from Dr. Betz. I also paid $7800 to go with the very best orthodontic for braces. But my mid-line is still shifted to the left by 1mm! My friend has rhinoplasty with the very best surgeon but after one year her nose tip dropped. She came to him yesterday and he told her that he couldn't help her with the current technology and that she could come back the same time next year. Her nose still looked great (compare if she has gone to a cheap doc) but it wasn't perfect.
So the only thing you can do from these type of surgeries is just hope for the best and maybe try to solve any problem if they do occur. I'm going back to my orthopaedic to fix this 1cm discrepancy as well as the x-leg.
I can be content with my height now. But I just feel I still want to chase after my ideal. I'm still young, single and still want to compete for the best which life has to offer.
I don't suffer from any sort of pain, can run better everyday and enjoy more and more of life. Perhaps, that's why I feel so optimistic about this surgery.
-
Hey Smallguy,
It sucks to hear that you have a 1cm discrepancy. I remember a while back you mentioned Sarin verified the equal distraction of the legs before frame removal when I mentioned I was worried about this occurring to me. I think I mentioned that Sringari wasn't even doing this earlier in the year. He was merely going by the measurement produced from the cheap x-rays we get at Paras. He said he's doing a verification now, but as the end draws near for me, this is something becoming more and more worrisome to me. I expressed my trepidation to the doctor and he said he'll get Harry to take me to a CT scan before frame removal as well as the final verification. Guess there's not much else I can do.
-
Well, it's good that you have read this. Then you can fix it while you're still in frame. The measurement at that para hospital was incorrect, but I believe it was even more accurate than the ones Sarin use at his hospital. That's really sad!
To fix this, just measure your legs manually. I was suspicious at the gym when I felt my left knee was slight lower than my right. When I got home, I decided to measure them both with a measuring tap. You can measure the bottom of your heel up to the top of your knee and compare both legs. This will give you a broad idea of your legs proportion and if there is a discrepancy, fix it while your bones have not consolidated yet.
Yes, again... I will try to see if our benevolent medical system will save me from this one. I will call to schedule an appointment to see the orthopaedic surgeon sometime next month.

Hey Smallguy,
You nickname does not suits you any more 8), but I am not the first one who tells you that, right. Your videos look great, especially after all you've been through (5 surgeries, discrepancy etc) . congrats on your achievements, new heght-new life
I don't know how young are you, broken heart hurts the same at any age, but heals better when you are young. We tend to think about good things that happened to us while we were in the relationship, but if you think about some negatives, something that wasn't particularly right in your relationshion, maybe it would be easier for you to go on with your life and enjoy again that 8hours/8minutes universal play ;)
BTW, there's cosmetic surgical scar removal, I don't know the prices yet, but my guess shouldn't be that high. Could be an option.
Anyway good luck on everything.

Smallguy,
In your spare time, could you share the names of the Korean songs? Lol - they're pretty good. How do you know so much about Korean bands?
if you liked those musics maybe then you should give a shot for other bands like
Bi Rain (bad boy, rainsim, hip song)
Lee hyori (10minutes, miss korea, bad girls, chitty chitty bang bang, u go go girl)
Big Bang ( fantastic-baby, lie, haru haru, blue, la la la , Hallelujah, A good man, baby goodnight, Ego)
JYJ( Empty heart, Why did I fall in love, mirotic, Intoxication)
Beast (shadow, caffeine, trouble maker, Now, fiction)
snsd( taxi, boys, Run devil Run, oh, Gee)
CN blue (loner, intuition)
sistar ( my boy, Alone, gone not around, give it to me)
4 min (hot issue, HuH, volume up)
kara ( Wanna do, runaway, mister)
EXO(MAMA)
it would be better if you watching them live

I have heard same feedback from another patient of Dr Sarin that the Doctor does not compensate for limb length discrepancy of because he does not measure the overall bone with sophisticated software.
Dr. Sarin may just take a regular tape measure and randomly measure two spots on your leg and re-assure you they are "equal" but in reality they are not...this is what happened to multiple patients, one of whom was the HLN patient who ended up with 1-2 cm discrepancy because of this.
-
Thanks for the internet that we're getting this info.
It's just hard to believe that some people will trust their life and their future with little research, and some even push thru even knowing those disturbing reviews.

I'm sorry to change the subject, I just don't know whose diary this question would go on to..
There was someone doing LL with Sarin a bit back, who contracted Malaria. I keep thinking about him and concerned and worried about him.
Does anyone recall who he is and does anyone know, if he's doing okay. My recollection was that he was from the US and had been in the Military.
I would appreciate it, if someone knows how he's doing or if he's reading this, could you please let us know how you are.

You mean 7withSarin? I can't disclose anything about him. But I`ve chatted with him a month ago and he's doing fine now.

Good to know that. The 1cm discrepancy isn`t affecting me much. You probably wouldn`t notice it from my video. It`s more like an ideal thing and I`m determined to get it fixed.

Thanks. I`m currently using a facial skin peeling product for my scars. I`m beginning to see flakes around the scar area and new skins are developing. If it doesn`t work, I will go with Dr. Jason River. He`s the best dermatologist in Vancouver but he charges $650 for fraxel facial treatment. Maybe it will be less for legs.
Now that I`m realizing that some people actually read my diary (I receive some PM), I feel like I want to edit it to make it more upbeat. To disappoint my readers worst, my reason for working out at the gym every day is not for the sake of recovering. In fact with my sedentary lifestyle, I just need to walk from my bed to my car, and that`s enough. But during these past few months, I have been secretly trying to workout at the gym so I can win my ex gf back. Instead of meeting her ever again, I met someone else different this weekend. She`s a 5`8 girl, who rejected me 2 years ago. Her persona about me totally changed. If anyone is interested in finding out what happen, let me know and I can write chapter 4 this weekend :D
-
Smallguy, that would be totally awesome! :D Did that girl notice your new height - how did you explain? A chapter 4 would be great. Take care buddy.

What are you going to do about that x leg?

I'd love to see some more diary updates from you Smallguy. It's a real treat to read :)

hey big guy!)) good luck with everything you are looking awesome)))
i think on one of your feet u have some ballerina or maybe I'm wrong, but in any case is very small, i dont think u will have that much problems like others. Im a little concern about your knee can you straighten them? i hope u didnt develop knee contraction while lengthening, this might cause you pain on the knee in the future. Take it easy with the work out)) your proportions look amazing) really good not issues in that department) hey take care and date many girls, sooner or later you will realize that there is no point in having an obsession for one girl, there will be many girls who u can love and will fit u perfectly)

Chris, Sweatpants, BD, thanks for your interest.
So here we go. This is just my personal life. It doesn't have anything to do with LL.
Chapter 4
I was planning on updating my diary on the 17th, which is when I see my doctor regarding my legs discrepancy and x-leg. But sure, I will tell you what I've been up to during the last couple of weeks. I want to be faithful to this diary because I want to make this forum better than the other one. We've been trying for a very long time and I think we are succeeding in a small way.
During the last couple of weeks, I've been studying for an exam but I bumped into this chick who dumped me two years ago. That's alright because I don't have any emotional attachment to her. She's a beauty queen, very attractive but also very boring to hang around with. Even the first time I met her 2 years earlier, she told me straight away that she only liked tall guys. Quite reasonable considering she's 5'8. After a few weeks, I was tired of being in the friend-zone, so I tried to kiss her. That's when she cut me off :(
I met her again 2 years later at Tim Horton and despite having previously hand out together for a month, she couldn't recognize me at all. But her persona about me has changed. I feel that she is kind of interested in me now relative to before. I got her contact again and was planning on getting back with her after the exam.
Unfortunately for her, I met someone better at the library this Saturday. I got the picture to prove this, And on Sunday, I met another girl who is better than both of them. She's only 18 (who could beat that). She was cute but fairly short. But on Tuesday, I met a girl, 21, who is really really cute. I was texting her this week. She seemed interested. (her only downfall is she's a bit short). But this last Wednesday, I met someone who is really hot who I wouldn't mind marry at all. Her sitting height is similar with mine and I think if she stands up, she's not that much shorter than me. I first looked up because of her perfume.... so in summary, you won't be hearing about the 5'8 in the 1st paragraph again.
I've revealed so much about myself in this forum. So most of you know. I'm very far from being a Casanova. I've been single for over a year. I'm not that articulate nor good-looking. But what I got going for me is that I'm very well-dressed, educated and also have good-manner. I'm very calm (never feel nervous) after all the s I've been through. So people tend to feel very comfortable around me.
On top of that, I'm blessed to be living in a very short-people friendly city. Our city has a very large Asian population, who are generally shorter than white people. So not only is the average height here is less than it is in Europe but short people here can have some leverage to fall back on. I often see some short white dude who has probably been rejected by all the white girls, now dating Asian girls. Last week, I walked past a guy who was only 5'0 and he was holding hand with a very cute Japanese chick. I thought I wouldn't mind her being my girlfriend. She was cute.
My city is also brimming with dating opportunities. The weather here is very moderate. It is never too cold nor too hot. So you see people going outside all the time. A lot of students also come over here for studying because they believe that Canada is a relatively safe country to be in compare to her neighbour. So if you come to downtown (like I do everyday), you will see mostly young people hanging out. And quite often if I want, I'm invited by some stranger to a foreign house-party. My city is landlocked and every where is a short-distance away. In the north, we have the mountain, and to the west, we have the sea. We have several beautiful beaches where you can take your dates out to watch the sunset and if you want, you can go all the way up to the mountain at night to gaze at the stars.
Because of this, I feel like every time I walk outside is an opportunity for a romantic encounter. I have to study for an exam but can't concentrate at home. So I thought if I see someone interesting, I mind as well as talk to them. Life is too short to miss every opportunity.
How to meet girls at the library.. my preference is beautiful educated women.
First of all, I like to make a quick tour around the library to see if there is someone I find interesting... like a very attractive woman sitting at a table. So last Saturday, I walked around and was stopped by the smell of perfume. I turned around and it was this girl. She didn't give me any eye contact so I thought she wasn't interested. The second time I past along to go to the washroom, there was an announcement that the library will be closing in 30 minutes. So I came up and ask her if she knew of any good places to study (lame excuse as I'm a resident here). I was trying to ask simple questions following up by harder ones. But instead of answering my question, she just said, "sure, let's go." And I said, sure let's go where? And then, we both went to eat at a restaurant and after that we went to watch a movie. I'm not sure if my height has helped me with this one because I have done this before LL.
Here's the library
(http://i60.tinypic.com/wa2c5f.jpg)
We went to watch non-stop. It was a boring movie. Canada's population is like what you see in the picture. Lots of spaces but very few people. You can see her hand to my left.

Here is my favourite beach

Awesome update Smallguy!
How is your overall recovery going aside from the things you need to visit your doctor about?
It seems like that place in Canada has a lot of oppurtunities for romantic encounters.
Keep us updated!
-
Great post. Get cozy if you need to update.
So, every time you go inside a library, I wish you "Happy Hunting, bro!"
;)
-
awesome dude)) Im so glad reading your romantic stories, i get butterfly in my stomach! lol
but, really it is awesome you are enjoying your height!)
Libraries are awesome specially for relax guys like you! i prefer mall or streets, but libraries are definitely good)))
so now you are actually taller than john saint pierre)))

Man, you're really good at selling your hometown! That sounds like just the place I'd want to live, especially for the weather (I can't stand too hot/too cold).
Great update man, it seems like things are going well for you (especially in the women department!)
-
Doflamingo - I will get back to you on this one on the 17th.
Cyber - Thanks. Can run, jump, and kick. Don't feel any pain. I'm still in contact with some of Sarin's patients who have done this during the same time with me. I can say 8/11 foreign patients are okay now. There is one guy who has to go to Paley for bone non-union but he is incredibly happy because his insurance covers for it. Sweden is experiencing pain. And myself with legs discrepancy.
BD - After re-reading my diary, I also feel like moving to that same city I mention! I didn't tell you that I personally have 2 rain coats just to stay dry and be fashionable. Machine's roommate was here in December. He also agreed that it is easier to pick up women here than it is in his working-city of Edmonton.
Once you finish your LL, you will feel the effect of being taller too. I've been using the same lines, same speech, and asking the same questions as I have before LL. But I feel that my success rating as well as my confident level has increased by 50%. Of course, height doesn't carry you through to bed with someone, but it does help you in the physical department.
Rgkey - Hey, my goal is to be tall like George Saint Pierre. He is 180cm. I'm 176cm during the day and 177cm in the morning with my strand of hair :)
Oh, that 2nd video was to demonstrate to Sweden that LLer could do Tae Kwon Do after recovery. Otherwise, even if I think I could win, I wouldn't choose to pick a fight with anyone these days. Too much risk involved (like a broken nose) and it's totally not worth it.
Medicore - Get cozy, sure :)
"While we were watching the movie non-stop at the movie theatre, I was really bored. So I slowly get hold of her left hand and held it with mine. A flush of testosterone rushes through my body and some kinky thoughts of what we should do afterward conjure up in my mind... to be continue" :)
Maybe I made it sound easy but it's not. Up until now, I haven't tried to hit on any supermodel or any female above 5'10 and up. Such feat would require a tremendous amount of preparation, like 50 hours at the gym, speech-therapy, and wearing a special type of cologne. Otherwise, if I fail, no amount of future LL could make up for my crash of self-confidence.
-

Thanks for the advice buddy. I was motivated to get this one back but maybe like you said, it's not worth it.
Nice observation. I am wearing 0.5 lifts. Don't feel like taking them off yet. But if I do my ballerina will disappear :D
My knees were like that. Actually, they were worst before but LL made my legs more straight.
-
mmm I thought GSP was 177cm, at least that is what says on his body description))))
yes, picking up fights is not worth it, unless it is just for fun where you can stop the fight at anytime if anyone is getting hurt)))) well I like fighting but not out of anger which is totally different story))) Anger in general is bad for your own, it is like stabbing your self in the heart and expecting the other person to die)))
please keep us updated!!
you are in Canada, Well I will be in NY we are are not that far away from each other)) maybe one day Ill jump over to Canada area, would be great to meet with you!
-
For sure, I told my friends in India that if anyone visit Vancouver, they can sleep on my couch. And I can be your tourist guide too if you ever head over here.
Vancouver is famous for its skiing resorts, mountains, and outdoors.
Yup, I love sparring too (practice fighting one on one). That's why I plan on joining a kick-boxing club after my busy schedule settles down.

Are you asian smallguy ?? Do you like Exo? bAp? Block b ? XD
And btw can you write more about your romantic days, it´s so cool xD
-
Hey Smallguy,
Your x-leg can be corrected without surgery? What do you have to do, strengthen muscles?
No, it has to be corrected with surgery. My doctor is the best orthopedic surgeon in Vancouver and probably in North America. I think he is even better than Paley. I checked his rating online and he appeared to have done miracles for people. And he is not about money. Every time I come to see him, there is always students there learning from him. And I believe Paley was also trained in Canada and specifically in Ontario previously so I think Canada has one of the world best medical education. Anyway, I can't disclose my doc's name; otherwise, my identify will be revealed :D
Actually, Paley is Canadian too.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dror_Paley
After looking at my x-ray, he said he knows that I have suffered a lot. I have endured a great deal of insult to my legs he said. As the result, I have to wait until fall to come back to him for reassessment. My recovery at the moment is not well enough to endure another major surgery. He said what I really wanted to hear. He said he will correct my all of my problems. And my leg discrepancy is not that much as I assumed. He measured from my hip bone down to my feet for both legs, and the discrepancy is only 4mm, which is normal.
My plate was inserted bent. As the result my bone was healed bently. And then the axis of my tibas are totally off, which result in x-leg or knock knee as they call it here. He said it doesn't need to be corrected. But I'm a perfectionist and since I pay a lot of taxes, I like it to be corrected. So my legs can be straight finally :D
The surgery will be expected in 2015. It will involve the re-breaking of the tibia one at a time. So I can still move around using crutches and walking with one-leg. And the time apart between each tibia will be 6-months. So my dream of going abroad in 2015 for another LL adventure is ruin. I wonder what I will do with all the money I will save up.
-
Yes, I have a high regard for medicine in Canada. I hope I don't have to pay out of pocket either for any future treatment. I felt guilt at first, but I've already paid my fair share of taxes into the system, and I have decades more of money yet to be injected into it, so I don't feel as guilty as I initially did for wanting to utilize the services we pay for.
I just pray the government continues to impose high standards of conduct and only allow Canadian trained doctors to practice in the future. I know of too many instances of people going to shady Caribbean and Eastern European (Romania, Hungary) medical schools wanting to come back to Canada with mediocre skills in an attempt to cash in. The application process and acceptance into Canadian medical schools is extremely competitive with stringent criteria. If your doctor has an MD degree from Canada, you can pretty much guarantee he's legitimate. That's cool to learn about Paley. Didn't know he was a Canadian boy.
BTW, is the doctor going to remove your nails during those surgeries?
-
Smallguy,
Your legs look great after 5 surgeries and 8 cm. Your recovery is inspirational. I'm glad to see Dr. Sarin still did a decent job despite the setbacks too. India is shaping up to be the place I look at having my external tibias done someday (6.5-7 cm).
I'm sorry about what happened with your ex-lover. However, looking at it from her POV, it's totally understandable why she left. She liked you just as you were but you didn't care and opted to spend months upon months away from her for an elective procedure that risked your health and financial well-being. Also, it's a procedure most people find to be totally insane and immature. To her it was probably like you saying, "I don't care what you think and I don't want to spend my time with you, I rather go do something crazy and dangerous for many months." Don't be bitter towards her or towards love because of that, IMO. You starved a loving dog and then felt crossed because it went to get food elsewhere....
Just my 2 cents after reading 2 pages. I'll be back another time to finish this thread. 6:00 AM and had a long Saturday (working...).
-Andy

Hey Andrew,
I think you should view it as being, he came out decently intact, despite Dr. Sarin, rather than thinking Sarin played some hand in resolving a vicious complication. Sarin himself was the complication. I'll let smallguy speak for himself. If you do come to India, I implore you to scrutinize the doctor you choose. Don't believe anything you've been sold on the internet.
-
Hey Small guy,
Did you LON/LATN or purely external?
Thanks!
-
His pic in the OP doesn't look bad. He could have some success if he goes clubbing. Most girls wouldn't know what he did to his legs.
But the video of his walking makes him looked stilted and his twisted smile reminds me of the joker in batman. But he still looks good (I'm jealous)
You're still aiming for femurs next year?
Me 2 :)
How are you now? Did you remove your nail and plate? Pain? Aches? Can you run? Sprint?
I ran for the first time yesterday, 2-3 kilometers. No pain. I just lack stamina.
I can kick pretty hard, I already knocked one guy out so my new legs seem to work. But it's still extremely far from what it once were.

is that you Sweden? judging by the comment it doesn't seem you
(http://i.gyazo.com/b2831d95494a03f45251f4dbbd4ee57b.png)
In defence of Dr. Sarin and contrary to what people want to hear, he was quite a good doctor. I have no monetary gain by saying this, and in fact, I haven't communicated with him for a year and am not planning on coming back there. I'm just a guy with a long memory. He treated us well and took good care of us. Not to mention, we saved a load of money by completing our dream with him. I'm still in contact with many of his non-indian patients. We all made it through and enjoying our lives with our new height gain.
-
Are you asian smallguy ?? Do you like Exo? bAp? Block b ? XD
And btw can you write more about your romantic days, it´s so cool xD
Hey, I'm asian. You?
Thanks for your comment. Romance is every guy's favourite topic. We spend so much time and money on our looks and cars, and work so hard for on career, just in hope of one day attracting the desired woman of our dream. Woman only dates a man of higher status than they are just as men only dates women they are comfortable showing their friends to.
Yes, I have a high regard for medicine in Canada. I hope I don't have to pay out of pocket either for any future treatment. I felt guilt at first, but I've already paid my fair share of taxes into the system, and I have decades more of money yet to be injected into it, so I don't feel as guilty as I initially did for wanting to utilize the services we pay for.
.....That's cool to learn about Paley. Didn't know he was a Canadian boy.
BTW, is the doctor going to remove your nails during those surgeries?
Hey my doctor will remove Sarin's plates and nails during the surgery. He will have to rebreak the bone to correct the x legs and add on his own plates. Then once I recover, I can plan for what I want to do next with my life. Yay!
Smallguy,
Your legs look great after 5 surgeries and 8 cm.
-Andy
Thanks for the advice bro. So brutal but so true.
Hey Small guy,
Did you LON/LATN or purely external?
Thanks!
We did LON with Sarin.
Hey Sweden. I can run at 7 miles per hour up to 10 minutes, which makes me the fastest runner at my gym. As everybody here is a body builder, no one cares about cardio. So I have no one to compare myself to. I haven't tried to physically test myself by sprinting yet as I haven't though much about LL for a while. My main concerns these days is about not becoming fat. I've been counting my caloric intake versus what I expended through workout.
Pain - no pain
Aches - no aches
Run - 7 miles per hour? I feel I can run faster than before due to having longer stride, however.
Sprint - in terms of that burst of moment, I think I'm not as quick as before. But I feel that I can work on it if I try. I don't try anymore as I'm not a professional athlete.
Wow. Good for you. I knew you had the best recovery out of all of us. Yeah, I also feel that you will lose a certain amount of agility through LL. But as my past-time is clubbing... and maybe kick-boxing in the future... I don't really mind so much about getting back that burst of moment as I had prior to LL. Glad to hear that you will consider femur despite all the loss of your physical power.
Me 3. I will consider LL asap... as soon as my doctor here fixes my x legs. I will go for another 6cm :D
-
Is the X-legs really still that bad?
Please post a picture of your current status on X-legs.
-
shorty.... there is plating, which does not cause knee pain...
i didn't find photos here showing x legs?
-
that insane guy was harsh, but the things he said are partly true.
-
I have one question, do you have knee pain? The debate over LON/LATN vs externals only is still playing in my mind with LON/LATN patients having some sort of knee pain even after recovery. What are your thoughts on that and has your knee recovered well?
Thanks
Hey ShortMcShort. Nice name.. haha. I feel we have something in common already. Yeah, the x-leg is quite noticeable. I have forgotten about it for a long time until now that someone has reminded me about it. But I will get it fixed just for the sake of it. I'm a perfectionist (and because we pay a lot of taxes here - it's about time I get some of it back).
LON - I don't have any knee pain with LON but other people have. And there are more people with knee pain than those who don't. So I think you have safer with being plated or going externally. But personally, because I don't have pain, I will go with LON.
I can't bear external but the down time is too great and I like to lengthen a lot. My left tibia is also plated. Like LON, it doesn't bother me but I can feel the plate along my shin when I feel my finger along it and it is more invasive. For these reasons, I believe LON is a cleaner approach and I will go with LON. However, my surgeon here in Canada prefers plate and I think he will have me plated when I undergo the x-leg correction.
..... I love chuckling at your clueless comments.
I don't care to post and I certainly didn't post in your diary. You very well know the comments were moved by admin.
I don't need to make you feel bad about your botched legs. It was certainly a joy to laugh at your comical babbling.
I'm glad you find my comments humorous :D
And you are correct. My diary is served for others not to follow.
Thanks for the entertainment.
Is the X-legs really still that bad?
Please post a picture of your current status on X-legs.
It is the same as before. Sure, I will share a video this weekend!
I don't see why you need to put such a harsh, belittling, and insulting tone in your comments. Take Smallguy's comments however you'd like, but realize that he is not trying to convince anyone to go to Dr. Sarin and will get no money if anyone does. There's nothing at all wrong with him liking the experience he had with his doctor, even if you don't, and then stating so. He is a valuable resource to this community as he can contribute valuable recollections and images of his experience, updates on his recovery, and a friendly personality and acceptable/tolerable manner or writing posts and helping others. You have contributed absolutely none of those things so far. Have you even had LL? If not, then I don't consider you a valuable member of this site at all, given the way you've been acting. You are effectively a troll on this site, so far. Feel free to read and glean the information that's graciously been made available to you on this site, but please don't post again until you can show basic etiquette and respect.
Thanks for the backup. It's quite clear of who I will choose to go with for femur LL in 2015 in my signature field. And Dr. Sarin is unfortunately not one of the options. He kind and helpful to us. He waved me the fee for 1 month of stay and, like Sweden said, made himself available to us 24 hours when we have problems. But with the options available at the moment and the range of doctors to choose from, I wouldn't want to go back to India and wouldn't want to recommend Sarin. If he was the only LL doctor available - sure. But there are so many better options available at the moment.
2 years ago, we were misled by Sysop and there were a number of successful diaries. The price was also perfect. Of course, with the info available at that time, it wasn't a bad idea to go to India for LL. But had I know the amount of complications and risk involved, I would have paid more and gone somewhere else that would provide a higher margin of safety. Dr Sarin gets the job done and if you're lucky, you'll get a smooth journey. But if not lucky, you get what you pay for. However, as you read from other diaries from more expensive doctors, their patients are not complications free.
I think Dr. Sarin has a chance to make his side business more successful if he wasn't so sloppy and careless. I have seen a handful of successful patients. Just 10 minutes before my final operations, I recalling seeing him arguing on his cellphone. And we spent another 5 minutes in the operation room, which resemble an animal slaughter house, to debate with him about my 8cm all or nothing goal. Luckily he gave in and gave me 8cm... something which a doctor in the west wouldn't take the chance.
Questions..
1. If Dr. Sarin was the only doctor in the world, would I go to do LL with him? - Sure. Sorry, if I will make some short people on here feel bad, but being short is so hard and difficult. Every day you wake up with a barrel of weight on your shoulder. Maybe that is why some of us are here. But my life at the moment is so much better than ever in my existence and that's just because of the increment in height gain.
2. How much would I pay for LL? Less than 55k. I think anything over this is overpriced for someone who makes less than 80k per year (like me).. sure you get the comfort and the higher margin of safety, but your life will still suck coming back with a load of debt.
-
Agreed, anything more than 55-60k is just too much money, the prices that Dr Paley and Guichet charge are just ridiculous if you ask me. But you do get peace of mind.
I also earn just about 80k a year, minus tax and its much less.
So if you were to go ahead with internal femurs, who would you go with if I may ask? If you weren't planning on fixing your x-legs next year first, who would be your preferred internal doctor atm?
-
If anyone would earn that kind of money they wouldn't need to work more than 3-4 years to become financially free - it they did things right.
You cod easily do femurs with Jamal. I met him and he seemed like a honest good man.
-
I was dead set on Jamal as well for internal femurs before, all the diaries about Dr Jamal say he is an honest man and I believe them. But all Jamal diaries have a few things in common 1/ Distraction and clicking problems 2/ Their recoveries are so long and callus formation is ever so little during distraction, case in point Emanuel is still not consolidated after 1 and a half years, nearing 2 years now, last I read he was going back for a graft 3/ No Jamal diaries ever updates during consolidation/recovery period, they all go missing so no one has yet come back and posted about their successful recoveries. Until then the only other doctor in that price range is Dr Birkholtz in South Africa. Eagerly awaiting the conclusion to Dr Birkholtz's diaries
Its one thing to be an honest man, another to successfully do CLL
-
SMALLGUY. I briefly read over your diary entry and realized that I knew who you were last year from the other patients you met who remained after your departure. I think it's really awful that your girl would abandon you the way she did for wanting to better yourself. So many of us went through hell and back to achieve our goals and we deserve support and empathy rather than judgement and neglect. I hope you find a person who cherishes you and admires the courage you exhibited to get where you are today.
-
First of all, congratulations!! what you've gone through in India is torturous! Having five surgeries, staying at 50 degree room without air con, finally turning 2mm a day! I tried turning 1mm per day in the beginning phase of my lengthening, and it hurt like hell. Nowadays, I would avoid turning 1mm a day at all cause, let along 2mm. I can only imagine the kind of pain you have suffered through.
I agree with you, considering how dangerous LL can be, people really should avoid going to India to lengthen if there are other options. From what I read, Dr Sarin means well. However, it's clear he simply doesn't have the skills and equipments to qualify to do the surgery safely for everyone. It's too big of a risk to take.
-
hey big guy! just stopping by to say hello my friend. Hope all is well!)
btw, change ur name!! if you are small, i am a miniature!!
-
You are officially bunch of idiots. Read my comment and then read the ones that followed using profanity like the loser cowards you are.
The only purpose his diary serves is to warn others against getting butchered in India, and if he’s not doing that, then everybody can do without his deluded opinion. Nevermind, actually I love gore stories. Keep them coming.
I registered to write my diary, but you are just a few rabid nutcases who are only good for backing each other up in making conspiracies.
I will post as I please and I will write the truth like it is. Who the f*** are you troll?
They would be conspiracies if they were all unproven, but all the alleged conspiracies you accuse people here of making have turned out to be true. How many times has Sysop been caught lying by now? First about his financial involvement with Sarin and then changing his story multiple times, then lying about not getting his arms lengthened when a user who knew him told about it and later finally admitting he did so. You're sticking your head in the sand pal.
Also I sure would not do surgery in India or anywhere outside the USA for that matter, but I find it funny that you spend the time to be so harsh with Smallguy's opinion about his doctor and result. You're not one to make criticism about limb lengthening decisions of other patients considering you had your surgery done by the least qualified doctor in the USA who will perform cosmetic lengthening. You should probably see Stadiometer's posts revealing your surgeon going to an unknown medical school and not even doing proper fibula fixation. Not to memtion he only has six years of practice before doing such a dangerous surgery on people. Maybe you shouldn't act surprised that you have problems currently.
-
Hey Smallguy. Just wondering how you've been. How's life been treating you?
-

Thanks buddy.
If I have a chance, I would like to rewrite my diary in a more positive tone. I've been too negative for no good reason.
Today, I met my ex at a food aisle after almost 2 years. My vision is 20/20 so I recognize her immediately but it took her several seconds to recognize me. For me, I felt it was like meeting a former foe, but looking at her eyes, I think she felt much more tender toward me. After all, I've always treated her kindly.
Sometime this moment 1.5 years ago, I was laying in bed at Sarin's guesthouse with one limb being longer than the other by 3 cm. My roommate called me and told me that my gf has cheated. I call her and after several attempts she answered... but she was answering inside of a washroom and she laughed. I guess she felt it was funny of what to her was a joke. The best part about the joke was...
I didn't want to continue being a loser. With my limb discrepancy, I could reduce my right and go home with 3cm. But I didn't want to be a loser. I persisted and with Dr. Sarin's help. He broke my lower left tibia. I spent the next 30 days lengthening my left leg at 2mm/day to make it equal to my right. And at the end, I finished off with 8cm just as what I came there for. After I came back home in 1 week, I started working at my job and several months later I also got promoted (so the increase in height did pay off in income). I also went to the gym during the past 1.5 years in my spare time along with furthering my degree.
Well, the best part of the joke is that after seeing her today I'm actually glad that she dumped me. She is tall, 172cm for a girl which is equivalent to 182cm for a guy, so I can't beat her in the height compartment. But I was wearing a finer jacket than hers. My raincoat was bought for $289, and the original price was $350. I felt amazing and tremendously confident... that's not the full reason, but I won't go into the detail. But I felt I was "better" than her.
Because I felt great, I didn't bother speaking with her and just pretended that I didn't see her. After it was over, I contemplated whether I should have spoken with her. And the answer is no. If you speak with someone you will dropped down to their level. But if you avoid them, your social status appears higher. Yes, I'm immature for thinking this way but it felt good and I liked it.
Classical and Cannibal Thanks to both of you for the backup.
RGKEY Just that I feel comfortable with this name. I saw your picture. Your muscles are ripped!
Taller Very good actually. The LL is paying off itself income wise, health wise and everything else.
-
I didn't read your whole diary, so would you say doing the surgery with sarin still got you your desired result?

Don't bother reading. I'm very happy now with the outcome and as I mention earlier, I want to rewrite my diary in a positive tone.

Just finished your diary
Hope you have a good recovery
-
So in the end you got a good result from Dr sarin right?
So many people on here complaning that didnt actually lengthen with sarin, apparently one patient on here knows one of the moderators and comlpained to them.
I just think alot of people are missing out on using the best LL doctor in India just because 2 or 3 patients had bad experiences. I Was there in 2013 and i saw more than 8 patients leave the guest house happy with their result.
-
Best doctor in India? ;D I think we're going too far here

I actually warned that patient not to go to Dr. Sarin. This goes beyond just one unhappy patient.
-
You warned him yet he turned out fine and recovered well, therefore your warning was proven to wrong.
-
Small guy.
Just read this whole thread. I was FLOORED when I saw the picture of the Library. What are the odds? I grew up in West Vancouver. Lived in Vancouver my whole life until age 27. Been to that library several times. :)
I live in Florida now but I still follow the Canucks religiously . The thing I remember the most about Vancouver was all the sexy Asian women :P
I am so glad Sarin has a good reference now after a very rocky time over the last 2 years on old forum and with Sysop.
Keep the faith my Canadian bretheren. Get those femurs done. Go for 185 :D
-

Hey, I'm quite happy with the result now. There was a post on here where someone (insane) who doesn't want me to admit that I feel satisfied with my result. That post was deleted. But honestly, I'm quite happy with the decision I made. Like you said, there were a handful of people who left with good results. Most do not write or share their experience. Actually, I previously wrote to complain about my experience but in the end I turned out fine. This is actually my 2nd diary. My 1st one was way more negative.
Like I mention previously, would I recommend Sarin to my family and friends? No.
Would I recommend Sarin to most people on here? No.
Would I come back to Sarin to do LL in the femur for 24k?... err, Sure!
I'm not the type of person who would feel hesitated to write a negative review about a doctor. In fact, I have written many bad reviews for some of the doctors I met here in my city. But with Dr Sarin, I would say that I was satisfied with my overall experience and the manner in which I was treated. Unexpected problems do occur but he managed to did fix them. He didn't rush me. He didn't persuade me to stop short of achieving my goal despite all the problems. And even when my time and money were running out, he never rushed me to go back home and have encouraged me to stay longer under his supervision for no extra charge. I would say that he was an honourable man.
I don't know most people on here personally. I met a few members here, and I met 4cm. He is a brutally honest guy and he also has a heart of a soldier. He has professional boxing experience. He lived under Dr Sarin's care for several months and trusted the man. In the end, like many, he went through successfully, so that's why, he is seeking to come back for femur. I feel it's kind of futile for a complete stranger on the internet, who has never met the doctor or worst who has never done LL to try to convince 4cm of his decision. We both don't have any affiliation with any doctor and don't care who you choose or what you do with your life or your thoughts or feelings.. or all of that soft stuff.... unlike Sweden or somebody else on here. The only reason why I come back to this forum is boredom and the idea of lengthening my femur 6-7cm more.
But my tight schedule is preventing me from writing many posts. After I came back, I already got promoted from my job, went from a 45k per year to a 55k per year position. But when I try again to get to the 71k position, they told me that I wasn't qualified, which is true. So now I'm studying for 3 exams, part-time work, plus my daily life of hitting on girls. But it's hard because only my height is average but my looks is not. I suffer from premature aging. That means I look older for my age.
TomD
Thanks for your comment. It's good to know that you are also from here. Actually, West Van is where many of the rich people live. I wonder why you moved. My manager who is a member of the KKK also lives there. I live on the Eastside near where the homeless live but it's a good location because it is closed to downtown. You should think about coming back here! 5'7 is still a good height here where the average is perhaps lower than other cities in North America. And because you're white, most Asian women here would fall for you quite eagerly.
Yeah, I go to that library a lot for studying these days and if I see someone attractive I would talk to them. The confident from LL is tremendous. Yeah, even with 8cm increase, I still experiment with 2-3 inches lifts. I walk to the subway, go for a jog and walk around downtown. I went clubbing 3-4 times per week throughout this summer and I still look alright and can go for another 6-7cm. Jungle also did 3 surgeries to go from 5'2 to 5'8 and his third time was in Vietnam for around $1000USD. He did two surgeries but realized he could do more so came back to lengthen more. He was also in his 40s. So choose your length wisely so you don't feel regretful and have to go back to do more.
-
jungle got greedy and over lengthened.
he admitted he lost function after 3 surgeries.
mitkovic refused to operate on him a 3rd time.
-
ForcedPuberty
That's true. No one can understand Jungle without first knowing what it's like to be 5'2 man living in a first world nation.
He gave up his athleticism to go from 5'2 to 5'8. But the post where he said he lost functions, that was Sept/11 and his frames were still on at that time. I would expect that his recovery should be better by now.
People lose athleticism not just by undergoing LL. People lose them by aging and by being idle. Mike Tyson was the best fighter in his prime but now he can hardly punch a white guy off from the street who made fun of him.
If I were to do LL, I would not only stretch myself to death but would also do a lot of rope jumping to workout the ankles and do a lot of squats and jumping with hands trying to touch the ceiling to kill the knees.

Small Guy, 4cm
Let me tell you that I am very happy to hear you had good relations with Dr Sarin. I had spoken to Sarin back in my old forum days and he seemed like he knew what he was doing to me. However, there have been guys who did have issues, which is concerning to anyone wanting to have LL.
I was in contact with Sweden quite a bit in those days. In spite of the fact he had complications, he was adamant that Sarin was a good doctor at the time. He was still in the guest house .
Then the business relationship came to light regarding the owner of old forum , sysop. After reviewing all the information I am starting to get the impression that you are right about the quality of care.
It is possible that Sarin was a doctor with the best of intentions who believed in cosmetic LL for Westerners. He met up with Sysop who came up with a scheme to start sending many people to Sarin for a part of the profit.
The price also has to be right or the patients will go to Europe instead. Its very possible that Sarin was faced with too many patients at the same time as Sysop kept recruiting them and demanding his cut. He could not keep up with the demand and the quality of the care suffered.
I would like to show that after Sarin and Sysop cut ties, his care returned to normal and the patients have been satisfied with his service since. To me, its exculpatory evidence that Sysop pressured the doctor into sub par care by feeding him too many patients causing damage to them.
-
TomD your right in the ball with most things you said in your post, when I was recently in india I discovered that the guest house no longer exists. Patients stay in a hotel close to Dr sarins clinic and i seen that he had 2 patients. One doing internal femurs that was recovering fine and one patient that had done external femurs and Was walking with crutches he also seemed fine apart from a little pain which is normal.
-
But it's hard because only my height is average but my looks is not. I suffer from premature aging. That means I look older for my age.
Hey Smallguy, can you elaborate on this?
Why do you think you have aged more? Hair loss, wrinkles, etc. Is this because of all of the stress you endured while at the guesthouse? Extra surgeries, girlfriend problems,...
Do you think things could have much better if you would have gone to a different doctor?
-
Lol
-
Lol
Why lol 4cm?
-
ForcedPuberty
That's true. No one can understand Jungle without first knowing what it's like to be 5'2 man living in a first world nation.
That's a truth my friend. You will face a lot of discrimination at that height, not to mention you'll have an easy time invading Russia in the winter than getting a girlfriend at that height.
-
I understand your opinion, and I understand why jungle did what he did.
but leg lengthening is to improve your body, you cant buy a whole new body, you can only give your current body an improvement.
regardless of the pain, jungle got greedy, his device would not even physically lengthen his leg as he went for to much.
I feel sorry for him, but 5"7 is not a bad height. he got greedy, instead of just accepting that he got a massive upgrade and a 10,000% increase in his quality of life and an ability to date at least 50% of the girls in a western population, he wanted more, even when he knew it would maim him and his function. yet he choose functional suicide to gain an extra 3 cm because 50% of the girls was not enough, and he wanted more.
he could have lived a good life. but having a good life wasn't enough he wanted a perfect life, with a perfect height. so yes he got greedy. and yes I feel sorry for him. and yes I understand why he choose to do it.

Who did he lengthen with? There might have been more involved than just him lengthening too much that caused a loss of function.
-
you raise a good point.
it was a doctor we don't know. he only mentioned the country he went to.
and jungle refused to go into details.
all we know is at 3 cm jungle said his leg refused to lengthen any further.
-
I'm partially wondering if it is Dr. Sarin. That quack has screwed up so many people.
-
Why lol 4cm?
Lol because its not from the leglengthening
-
I ll give an example about how complications can occur with any doctor, for eg Dr guichet had a patient that had a diary on old forum about 2 years ago that patient suffered a complication where one of the screws that secured the rod to the bone became dislodged and the he suffered an excruciating amount of pain and who knows what else.
In the end Dr guichet managed to find a way to blame it on the patient.
Dr guichet has also taken a deposit from a patient and not returned all of it when they patient realised he didn't have enough to cover his surgery and stay after realising how expensive no 1: Dr guichet is 2: the physio charges no3: the cost of accommodation.
He asked doctor guichet for the deposit back but after a struggle got back less than half of it.
People should take note problems can happen with any doctor.

Do you think things could have much better if you would have gone to a different doctor?
I suffer from premature aging. It was brought on by the accumulation of stress, rubbing the eyes while crying, and toxin from all those painkiller medicine and surgeries. My eyelids have severe wrinkle. I never have any lines on my eyelid before LL. And now I have crow feets which are wrinkles on the edge of the eyes. And because they are around the sensitive eye region, they cannot be treated with laser resurfacing nor Botox.
I always get comments like, why do you look so tired. But I already slept 10 hours last night and 8 hours every night before that. And when I walk into a liquor store to buy alcohol, they wouldn't even ask for my ID. Same with clubbing, they just let me go through. And it's impossible to date young girls in their twenties and it's still hard to date women my age even though I'm not yet 30. I can be mistaken for someone in his 40s. Before I was being discriminated by height, now it's my looks. It's just like how you look after you write an exam but times that by 6 months.
Things could be better if I have gone to a different doctor. Who knows? But is there a doctor who can perform LL stress-free? Even Leechet was crying his eyeballs out with his expensive surgery.
I'm been experimenting with anti wrinkle eye cream. But nothing works.

Why do you feel sorry for Jungle? His recovery could be better by now. And if you ask him, he probably thinks he is the happiest man in the world because he has completed his life goal and his height is something that he wouldn't have to be bother with. This is huge considering he was 5'2 to begin with. At this time we can only guess what his agility is like but no one knows for sure unless somebody asks him.

I'm sorry to hear about that man, but that's honestly what happens when you go with Dr. Sarin.
If you don't do weight training or aerobic exercise, doing so could definitely help you out. Try Stronglifts 5x5.

Dr guichet has also taken a deposit from a patient and not returned all of it when they patient realised he didn't have enough to cover his surgery and stay after realising how expensive no 1: Dr guichet is 2: the physio charges no3: the cost of accommodation.
He asked doctor guichet for the deposit back but after a struggle got back less than half of it.
that patient had a very bad attitude .
i wouldnt be surprised if he was telling lies or twisting the truth
doctor guichet seems to be an honourable and ethical man, i doubt he would stoop so low

How does doing strong lifts 5x5 help with premature wrinkles?
I recently quit my gym but am joining a different one soon. Thanks.

hey smallgy. I feel sorry for jungle because he never became happy after 2 surgeries. he never learnt the most important lesson. and that is to be happy with yourself. ll is not to buy a new body, that is the wrong way to look at it, ll is a method to give your current body an improvement.
people who are extreamly short need to understand that they can never be 6"0. there are limits. they need to be happy with a massive improvement.
you only need a good height for a good life, but for jungle a good height was not good enough, he wanted perfection. he got trapped in his dreams of wanting to be the perfect alphamale.
people who believe they need to be the top dog alpha male for all of society compared to everyone they know have height neurosis. and I feel sorry that they could not find happiness.

Stronglifts 5x5, or any type of intensive weight training, will help improve blood circulation, heart health, bone health, etc. which in turn will give you a more youthful looking face.

Hey small guy, it's good to know that you are doing well apart from your stress related wrinkles. I guess I can advice you based on my personal experience. I am 33 now I look as if I am in my 20's. I always get comments about how radiant my face looks. But it was not always the same until 4 year back when I was looking much older for my age as if I am in 35 to 40 range. Now let me put down the points which I believe are the reason for my drastic change
1. I was not always obese but had put on weight for 4 years since I gave up my smoking 8 years back. giving up my smoking probably improved my skin texture but I was looking older as I was getting obese. I started to reduce weight with proper diet and I stated looking younger
2. I meditate daily and it guess that brings glow on my face - don't know.
3. I take cold water bathing even in the winter. That sounds crazy but I feel that keeps my body fit and active. I am in India at the moment with the family, but used to take cold bathing when I was in London as we'll
4. I don't drink coffee, tea and avoid any sugar related products
5. I don't used to work out before, but now I do aerobics in gym, not regularly though
6. I use Loreal hydra energetic face cream
7. Don't masterbate. There is lot of content on net that link facial glow and youth to no masterbation. Of course you can have sex.
Recently I had been to a marriage and had so many comments from my distance sisters how smart I look. I am married with and my wife says the same. For last 4 years my friends who had seen me before when I was obese has commented on how radiant my face is with a glow. I guess all this was possible due the attributes give above. Give it a try.
And one more thing, if you have reduced weight drastically after surgery wrinkles will appear due to weight loss. Give some time for your skin to adjust and it does, then you will be alright. Take care

I like this part here. I rarely get to talk about my spouse because so few of us are married.
My wife is 5ft2 and of all things she is an RN with an undergraduate degree in science. She is currently doing her 5th emergency room and its almost time for her into Graduate school to get her Doctorate so she can become s nurse practitioner.
When I told her about the LL surgery, she flipped out . She said I was tall enough and that surgery is only for super short folks and others with pre existing leg conditions. She feels that the surgery and physio is atrocious.
So I am still working on her but I suspect most of our family members have the same drastic reaction if we tell them before hand. We spend the rest of the time enduring their pleas to change our minds.
Sorry if I digressed. :)

you sound naive my brother, maybe you lack life experiences, anyway let me tell you something useful - when it comes to money, people can stoop to such a low level that you cannot imagine. I have seen people do things for money, that are unimaginable, and I have seen even rich, educated, respectable, reputed people stoop low for money - just FYI.
