Hi all :)
I'm an 18 year old Australian who is looking to gain at least 6cm in a vertical stature increase. Since my currency is not as strong as the USD or EURO, I will have to look at cheaper places: e.g. India, Russia.
My budget is 11K,12K AUD which is about 8/9K in USD.
Is it possible to achieve LL with such a tight budget? Please share experiences and knowledge!

I'm 20 and I understand that you want to to this as soon as possible but read all the diaries, this surgery isn't something to take light. There's a possibility of not being able to walk normally again or to develop chronic pain.
What I recommend for you is to save more money for at least 20.000€. Wiser people than me say probably from experience to not take out a loan but if you're wish is so urgent I would research about your options and look for better doctors.

I know there are risks and honestly, I know that in order to gain things in life i gotta be willing to face the risks and the pain. I've read that getting LL is more so overcoming the mental challenge.
Currently I want to gain about 6cm more to my height. I'm willing to do 4/5cm to reduce the risk as lower increase=less chance of pain, right?
As for the money, yeah I can wait longer because I'm still in uni and when I get an actual job I could afford it. I also know that there are cheap options to getting it done (in developing nations) and expensive options...
I know that the more one pays, the less chance of surgical mistakes. But I'm willing to take the risks for the rewards. I'm willing to compromise on the height increase to lower chronic issues. Heck, even 3cm of height increase would have me satisfied and willing to pay.
I know I'm only 18, and I feel like I haven't finished growing but my height goal has not been reached, especially in a country where most of my friends are 6'1... I really wanna push myself and my body to milk it for every inch of height I could possibly gain while being safe doing so and taking the precautions to minimize body issues down the line.

Take his words to heart.
If you do this surgery with a 10k budget you'll end up needing multiple other ones in first-world countries just to try to get a normal life back again.

The last thing I want is to ruin my life from what I've read, if the nail breaks and causes a malunion the cost of fixing these traumatic issues exceeds the LL surgery 3-fold + loss of income from not working/additional trauma.
My strategy would be to not give into greed, and only gain 3/4 cm... Surely only gaining 3 or 4 centimeters in height cannot result in horrible issues.. 3cm would be enough for me to break into 181cm which I would be very content with.
Also, if an issue were to arise e.g. malunion or something, since I live in a first world country with free medical care I could get it treated, saving money that way.
I'd like to point out that I'm in no rush for this because I still am in university, living with my parents.

You're not short. You're objectively tall to most of our species. You're just shorter than X number of your friends.
You'll get much more out of starting to work out and developing more confidence in your body. And men can grow until 21, so I'd suggest waiting, and saving money, until then, if you really want to do this.

You can add Unicorn888 and Musicmaker to the list. They have also spent more than 150k because of complications.

So ideally, where would be a safe not extremely expensive place to get this done and what budget should I set?

I'm not an expert, but if you don't have much money I would go for external tibias.
I didn't read about all the possible doctors, so my list isn't complete. There might be cheaper doctors in Russia for example but for me it'll be either Dr. Giotikas (Athens, starting at 20.000€, PT included for over 2 months, frame removal less than 1000€ extra...) or someone else.
Dr. Pili (also about 20.000€, frame removal costs extra 3.500€, ATL costs 4.500€ extra and other things) seems to be experienced and there are some good reviews but since he does Achilles Tendon Lengthening 50-80% of the time (which weakens you) I don't want to go there anymore..
