Title: How long does it take to recover
Post by: ramaka on May 11, 2018, 03:12:09 AM
I’ve seen so many diaries where it’s been over a year or so and they still aren’t recovered then I’ve also seen ppl say it took them like 8-9 months and they can put their full body weight on their legs without any problems.

So I’m really assuming it depend on
1. Amount you lengthen
2. What part you lengthen
3. What Dr performs the surgery

If you lengthen 5 cm without complications, you should factor in at least a year before full recovery.

The most important universal factors IMO that contribute to recovery time are amount lengthened, nutrition intake, and physical therapy.

This falls under nutritional intake, but maybe it passes by the mind of some people, and some bad doctors don't seem advise their patients, so: supplementation is also important. Calcium and vitamin D3 supplementation being among the most important. You'll want to take at least one pill for your normal daily intake, then extra ones per broken bone (as to how many: discuss it with your doctor when you are undergoing CLL). I believe it is one extra pill per bone break, but consult diaries like Purushrottam's and OverrideYourGenetics' for more information.

Total caloric intake is also important.

Anyway, that's still currently the best thread in the forums about all of this (http://www.limblengtheningforum.com/index.php?topic=5258.0). (I suggest everyone to bookmark it for easier access later.)
