Hello All:
I am not asking for doctor advice from anyone here, but just want an opinion, or perhaps you guys may have received this information before from an expert.
I just took my 5 month x rays, and the doctor cleared me for jogging, and light sports (no contact sports). When I look at my x rays, i see the bones forming, i see the consolidation of the femurs, but how does one tell if it is hard or soft callus, bone or otherwise, etc? To me the new growth is lighter than the rest of my bone, which is what lead me to this Q.
I was so excited to be cleared for sports activity, that i had forgot to ask the doc.

Thanks all!!

Probably what makes the difference between being cleared for sports or not is that dense white line on the outer surface of the bone in the gap.

I had thought that as well.
