There’s got to be a sticky here somewhere, but I’ve seen so many people complain about Guichet and Sarin.
As a community, these two butchers should be on a blacklist front and center for everyone to see.
It’s so important to do research on your Doctor, but let’s make it easier for that potential person so they can avoid a nightmare of consequences.
-
Totally agree with you! This could avoid terrible outcomes with future CLL patients.
-
Agree

Butchers. Take money then do the the bare minimum so you don't die but can't speak out against him since he's the only one you can do anything with now unless you pay another surgeon to fix his issues.

What’s the difference between “risky newbs” and “yet to prove themselves”?

What’s the difference between “risky newbs” and “yet to prove themselves”?
Debiparshad is doing limb lengthening solely for profit. He does not even do deformity correction unlike the other surgeons in yet to prove themselves who have established records in limb lengthening for medical reasons and only recently started cosmetic elective surgeries.
-
As a general rule you should avoid doctors who use their own implants. There is no control whatsoever for these implants and you can be sure they will never admit their product had a defect.
Products like "Betzbone" and " Guichet Nail" for example.

Add to your bad list: Dr Singh from singapore, he trained under Dr Betz
Feel free to look up my posts if you want to know why he should be under the bad list

Yet to Prove Themselves: Giotikas, Solomin, Buldu
I usually do not comment on these type of posts; yet, to characterize Professor Solomin as "yet to prove himself" is idiotic.
Solomin is a MD/PhD scientist with more experience than any other limb lengthening surgeon--he has handled more than 10,000 legs and literally wrote the book (twice) on external lengthening (https://www.amazon.com/Leonid-Solomin/e/B0034OAOFA%3Fref=dbs_a_mng_rwt_scns_share (https://www.amazon.com/Leonid-Solomin/e/B0034OAOFA%3Fref=dbs_a_mng_rwt_scns_share).
Please do NOT express opinions on matters for which you plainly have no information.

I have always felt that this thread is a bit stupid.
-
Why would you consider this thread to be stupid? From all the diaries in this forum people can have a pretty accurate opinion on which doctors should be considered and which should be discarded. This thread is a way to help new users or users considering CLL, but not decided on the doctor, to get a general idea on some of the doctors out there. I believe it’s an excellent idea and should have been implemented sooner. It might have avoided some tragic outcomes.
-
I do believe that this thread can be drastically improved. Maybe by adding some additional info on the doctors on the list. Stats and whatnot. That would change the current list from a list based on opinions, to a list based on opinions supported by facts.
