Title: Athleticism vs flexibility
Post by: jem_semarc on June 21, 2020, 12:38:55 PM
What would you say is more important? Obviously the more athletic and flexible you are, the quicker you will recover and less possible chances of complications.

However, what is more important for the Stryde method? I’m thinking to focus on flexibility 70% and 30% athletic ability. Am I wrong? Do strength of leg muscles and so on matter?

Weight training or cardio pre LL?

Let me know your opinions!

I think you should be in very good shape and flexible for the best results.

My plan is high rep weights on legs for muscle stamina rather than strength.

Training upper body as normal and stretching everyday.

From my observations in sports, those who are known to have incredible cardio heal faster from injuries. Possibly a high concentration of oxygen in the blood?

I will ramp up cardio closer to the date of the surgery.

People have mentioned you can lose a lot of weight while lengthening, I'm still leaning to the side of being low bodyfat prior to surgery for the overall health benefits and then ensuring a decent calorie surplus during lengthening.
