Dr. Paley says the average LBR is .52, but where does that cover? Is it just the leg bones, top of femur to foot, or the entire apparent leg length?
-
Aye just wondering since you’re still growing, have you got your growth plates checked ? And have you tried a perfect diet with sunshine and possibly HGH therapy? Good luck to ya any way youngster !
-
My endocrinologist denied me HGH because he didn't believe it would be effective at my age. I eat well and exercise.

Damn that sucks man.
Some docs are quick to prescribe that kind of stuff and some rarely, if ever do.
If your growth plates aren’t closed, it’s always worth a try in my opinion if you can afford it. A half an inch is half an inch ya know.. also it’s great for healing from injuries in general, thats probably the biggest reason young guys generally do better with LL..optimal health and hormones in general. I’ve personally never tried pharma grade HGH, only mk677 which is effective at boosting HGH but has side effects when it comes to high blood sugar(you pretty much need to eat keto or you become diabetic), but typically the guys I’ve talked to who got on it stay on for life.

On the contrary, it’s better to never mess with hormones. Well, almost certainly HGH will not help at 17, and the 0.5 inch increase isn’t worth side effects. It’s better to do LL in my opinion.

What about hormone replacement therapy when your hormones start declining with age ?
Kind of a blanket statement to just say never mess with hormones.

To this guy’s original question, isn’t some of the possible total length allowed more due to pliability of the muscles? So it would be more important to stretch a lot rather than being strong going into it.. for maximum length gains

I'm currently trying to be able to do the middle splits, left leg splits, and right leg splits before surgery.
My real concern is not how much I can physically lengthen, but leg to body proportions. If you go to Dr. Paley's website and see the Asian girl who did 16 cm, that's too much. I'd love to be 16 cm taller, but not if my legs looked like that, and if I did it they would probably look even worse. I have long legs already.
My current thought is to do 6.5 cm, and stay less than 2 standard deviations from average.

You may just email your picture to the doctor’s office and get mockup. Or, better, ask to evaluate your mockups, to find out what amount of lengthening is suitable for you.
