Title: Will lengthening less always lead to better results or is there a sweet spot?

For example if lengthening femurs if you've lengthened to 6cm and all is fine how much of a detriment long term would it be to go to 7cm or 8cm? Will it always be slightly worse the more you do or not?

The higher you lengthening of course there are more risks involved. You're stretching nerves and soft tissues, lengthening bones aren't really the issues during LL. There is no magical sweet spot. Someone at 5cm can have a worse situation than someone who had the same doctor used the same method at 8cm.
Yes every CLL has something in common but the procedure really is individualized AKA how your body handles it.
So the differenc3e between 6cm to 7cm depends on what you are feeling at that moment-is there any pain? can you do your stretches? indication of nerve damage? Do your PT and Doctor think it's safe to continue..etc and How fast/often are you lengthening?

Some of these 'experts' would say don't go past a certain point which I agree to a certain extent. unless you're doing the same exact method and PT plan then Much isn't really relevant but certain aspects will always be beneficial.
2. The PT you do during LL and Afterwards(where everyone seems to slack) is a greater indication of the long term effect
Anyway listen to your body and listen to your doctor to get a better determination of long term effects during LL

Ideal LL for recovery is 1mm. Less is better probably always

Working off your idea you would probably only go 0.1mm then. Why risk the whole mm.
