I'm curious about LL because I want longer legs/a longer inseam not to be taller. (I wouldn't say no to being taller given the choice, but since I'm 6'1" LL wouldn't make sense for me on the basis on height alone.) My inseam is 32 inches, which seems to be really short for my height. Has anyone done LL not to be taller but just for longer legs/to make their inseam longer? Would I be automatically rejected by LL surgeons because of my height?

You cannot be denied/discriminated LL because of your height (or should not, at least in the US). One helpful reason shorter clients get LL is to fit into longer inseam pants. In the US, clothing stores rarely sell pants with inseam under 30 inches, so a lot of men around 5’7” and under with inseam length under 30 inches have to pay a tailor tax to shorten the 30 inch inseam pants.

Some, but not all, would automatically reject you. You could get it done.
A big part of why I wanted LL was to fit into longer pants.
