As many already know, Stryde nails are no longer available. I had initially planned on getting the surgery done with Dr. Parihar in late February, and he has access to only Precice 2 at the moment.
I wanted it done by Feb because my grad school is starting in Sept 2021, and I wanted the recover by then. It's disappointing for sure, and if I don't do the surgery this Feb, I'd likely have to postpone the surgery until Sept 2022.
Is it worth it to wait for the Stryde nail to become available again, or should I go ahead with the Precice 2? How much of a difference will the two nails make in terms of recovery time?

I can't speak for Stryde, but 8 months after doing 6 CM with Precice 2, I went on a cross country road trip across the US with one of my buddies, partied all summer, and hiked throughout the national parks. I couldn't play high-level sports or anything of course, but I felt basically normal. If you do the operation in Feb with Precice 2, you should be fine for grad school in the fall.

There are other doctors that have Stryde right now. Giotikas said that he had STRYDE stock for 2-3 months, and that the issue will be solved in May. Anyway, I though that all Precice nails were affected by this issue. Is it 100% clear that Precice 2 is available? I have seen contradictory reports

Difficult decision. I'm in a similar boat but I don't have to wait till September 2022 if I wait for stryde.
Stryde is a game changer for sure but Dr. Parihar will be conservative with walking even with stryde. So you won't be walking around like some American doctor patients on the forum. So maybe there is not that big a difference between stryde and precice with Dr. P at least during lengthening.
If you have to wait till Sep 2022 if you miss the bus now and have made up your mind to do the procedure and in India then precice is the way to go in my opinion.

G-nail is still on the market. ;D

It seems like the best choice is Stryde simply because the cost is so similar and you will be able to get back to work much sooner.
