As we know Nuvasive dominates the internal nail market. Do you guys think they will control the market for the next 10 or maybe 20 years. I'm hoping another company steps in and creates their own nails that can rival the precise and Stryde. Competition in a market where only one company controls the price is good for us consumers.

Someone will try to take their marketshare, yeah.

I really hope there is more competition. Competition will bring the cost down for us consumers, since right now Nuvasive has a monopoly on the market, they can control the price.

Synoste, a finnish company, is the current front runner to be a major competitor against Nuvasive at the moment. Their Nitinail is a similar fully weightbearing smart lengthening device that does not require racheting like Betzbone and will be easy to lengthen like the Stryde.

Interesting hopefully there nails come out within the next 5 years. I wonder if they will set the price cheaper since they don't have a track record like nuvasive

I wonder, after the nitinail hits the market do you think the cost of internal LL will go down significantly?
