Title: Since Paley's Option 5 can't adapt to most people's funds and proportions
Post by: Astronomy on June 11, 2021, 01:20:05 AM
Why does it exist?Cuz I'm extremely short and only Option 5(4+4 twice) can save my life,I'm considering Option 5 since I've got enough money ready.
If most people can't feel good after Option 5 surgery, why did Paley allow this Option 5?Is that a piece of white lie?

Option 5 (4+4 ), is the most conservative and safest way to get 16 cm in height. Well he allowed this option for the people who want to gain the max amount and also have the funds for it.

I've found Option 5 is controversial all the time when it comes to its safety and damage to proportions. My opinion is the same as yours but almost every user suggest giving up ideas about Option 5 but I really need 16cm growth.

I mean if you have the proportions for it and will look good after lengthening that much then why not especially if your doing it with Paley who is the best and most experienced LL doctor around. And if 16 cm is truly your goal then go for it 4+ 4 twice and going back a year later is the safest way to get the max amount of length.

I'm not trying to tarnish your dreams, but stretching your legs for 16 cm could leave you completely immobile. It's like trying to wear a latex glove 3x smaller than your hands. I've seen people with 8cm+ struggling to bend their ankles/knees. Be careful

I've got very excellent flexibility and I dunno if that'll help me a lot.If 16cm can't be done,13cm must be done since I've just been wanting to achieve a normal height, though I can't still feel confident enough when it comes to height.
My country is heightism as hell and anything under 180cm or even 185cm ought to be discriminated..If there is no other ways,I'll consider immigrating to other countries..
Anyway,thank u

16cm is not my final goal but since I've got enough fund to go to Dr.Paley,I dunno wanna just achieve 10cm or even 10cm-.That'lll waste my money a lot,I think. And 10cm can't save my life cuz after 10cm lengthening,I'll still be a short man.

In my opinion I would just do 7.5/8 femur and 5.5cm tibia
2.5cm/1 inch is not worth an extra 100k/2 extra surgeries/extra stretching of tibia

Most doesn't mean all.  Some people can.  That's like asking why luxury cars and jewelry exist.

In my country if you are only 175cm or so you might still feel inferior cuz there are 50% people taller than you.If you are 178cm tall barefoot at night, there are only 30% taller than you.The difference will give you different feelings.
What's better,Paley's surgeric skill and his hospital's equips and anything else are better than other sugerons'.

imo 8 cm + 6 cm is better than option 5. Less painful and better overall. 2 cm won't make that much of a difference 2 cm is like your nail.
