-
Originally planned to do with dr Mangal but he refused to operate on me
-
Surgery date 18- December-2021
-
I hope your lengthening goes smoothly. If I may ask, why did Dr Parihar refuse you as a patient?
-
Actually my parents are not supportive in this journey
And he demand some on to be present on the day of surgery
So this is the reason.
-
Right after my surgery knee and ankle movement lost considerably why this is happening

if you can move your toe and fingers up and down then don't worry
-
I'm having too many calf swelling which lead to feeling of pressure which going to explode
-
congratulations on finally getting it done after so many years.
are you still in the hospital? what did your doctor say about your symptoms? always coordinate with medical staff, make sure all the symptoms you have are normally expected post-op.
what is the expected timeline for you?

I'm having too many calf swelling which lead to feeling of pressure which going to explode
It's probably normal swelling but please ask the doctor about compartment syndrome.
-

It's normal to not feel good after surgery. How are you doing now, leg swelling go down?
Make sure to keep both feet in the straps as long as possible to keep equinus at bay. The earlier you get it, the harder it will be to correct with stretching.
-
Thanks kilo I'm your huge fan I'm following you since 2016 and I have one question for you .
I planned not to walk till complete bone healing just standing everyday and do bed physio and do other task on wheelchair it is right strategy?
-
Bay meaning what?
-
I mean just standing and do physio on bed only not walking till the bone heals
-
You don't need to force yourself to walk during the lengthening period if it's painful, but you should stand as much as you can just to put some load on the bone. Once lengthening has stopped you should walk as much as you can though.

I has been six days my after surgery swelling not reducing .how long it's will take swelling to reduce ,it's feels like my leg already reached limits what is happening?
-
REBORN you should ask your doctor if you feel that what youre experiencing is not normal for post-op. have you talked to him about your symptoms since the beginning? what did he say?
-
The post-op pain is a distant memory for me, as was my condition immediately following surgery. I'm curious how Dr Shah is overseeing you while in his facility. Is he reachable daily? Definitely do not be wary about voicing your concerns to Dr Shah.
-
Yes he say I'm worring too much also post op swelling is normal just elevate leg it will take 3 weeks
-
I fly to my home he discharge me after 10 days from hospital

Yeah I had all those things. Super normal mate.
Everyone thinks this is way easier than it is.
It is super painful, draining and all those things. But it does work and you will come out the other end okay.
There will be a few problems a long the way. Your doctor will work with you to resolve them.
There are always complications. But you work through them.
It's just slow slog,
you will never do anything harder or more painful in your life (unless you get attacked by a bear and then held hostage by ISIS for 4 months straight after).
Take it day by day,
try to stay positive as best you can,
let the doctor be the doctor
and you concentrate on being a winner.

Thanks

Hi Reborn. Hope you're doing well.
If possible, please share email or something we could connect as I want to know some details like cost, experience etc
-
Hello. Reborn. How are you doing. How you find dr suhas sah?. What is his cost of tibia surgery.
-
Currently distracted 2.5
not able to sleep due discomfort .
Lengthning at the rate of .5 per day
No pain at all since started lengthning I wonder why
2.dr shuhas Shah is very famous here every body knows him I find him through his YouTube channel.
3.total cost i bear is 700000 inr including hospital fees + 7 days stay then I fly back home .
-
How come you are only doing .5mms a day? That might be why you don't have as much pain.

That maintains within the safe amount of lengthening per day. What's wrong?
0.5mm-1mm per day is the safe range.

I've honestly been considering him. What do you think of him so far?
-
What i have experience so far about doctor
He caring and always present for your queries
Nursing staff is so caring that I does not experience any post op pain .
I stay 7 days there after surgery and I got full care and support from nurses and staff .
that all
-
Dr Shah recommend me to do 0.5 mm a day only so I'm following his advice
Till date I never experienced skin tearing, muscular pain, nerve pain etc etc as many llers reported.
I'm on zero medication since 12th day after initial surgery no painkillers ,no anti inflammatory etc etc
I'm only experiencing sleep less nights due to discomfort of having frames.
-
I'll have to keep this in mind. Thank you.
-
Good to know that you have no pain.
As I am reading other people diary most of them are complaining about pain and taking lots of pain killer. Dr shas didn't provide accommodation and physiotherapy during the distraction phase. And what about your follow up with dr shah and rehabilitation. As you said that you fly to your home. I hear that some doctors in delhi Ncr provide package for limb lengthening like 3 month. Including all facilities like follow up of surgeon, Physiotherapy and all.
Because we need highly supervision of Limb lengthening experts. And best of luck for your journey
-
Dr Shah help you provide accommodation if you want also plpeovide physiotherapy in my case i personally insist doctor toallow me lengthen at my home.
I take flight to Mumbai every 30 days for follow up.
Don't know about delhi but i personally we
nt to him because he is well respected and 30 yrs of experience also trained by Dr paley
-
Ok. That's great.

Hi Reborn, looks good so far !, glad to hear Dr Shah is ok with travel.
Why did you not choose LON if i may ask? (maybe to avoid potential knee complications with a rod?)
-
Lon is highly traumatic for body no where near pure external.
If you want external and want to be recover as fast as possible then pure external is way to go.
Research yourself .
-
Good to see you're doing okay so far.
