Some kept it a secret, some shared with close friends only.

I plan to tell my friends and family, then say nothing to anyone else.

I only told my immediate family and my gf. I am 10 months post op and my gait is 100% normal again. I have seen most of my friends and I would say about 50% noticed / mentioned I looked taller. I have laughed at / played off the reactions and people have seemed to forget about it after some initial shock. Since the first time it hasn’t ever been brought up again and people are used to my new height. I was very worried about reactions but as time goes on you legit stop caring and the reactions aren’t as bad as you think they will be. I went from about 163.5cm to 171cm btw and the people that noticed the most were close to my original height and I am now either taller or the same height as them.

That exactly what i plan to do, only inmediate family. I dont fear the comments such as "u look taller" bc i consider those as a really good ones.
Btw, how is ur running with such a lengthening?

I'll say I just experienced a bone injury accident so I happend to grow taller thereof and nothing else.
Most of ppl have no intimate knowledges of Orthopedics so it's very easy LOL.

The funny part about this is that excuse is *literally* true.

Does bone injury, falling off the bike or car accident, actually make one taller a little bit? For good?

I have done a few light jogs and it feels fine with no pain but a bit awkward since I haven’t run for so long and since full healing takes a while. I will try and sprint in a few months.

Had you tried to change the clothing you wear after the LL before you did jogging?

What I meant is that saying "I broke my bones and grew taller" is legitimately true in the sense that this is what leg lengthening is.

unfortunately it seems that few actually notice much difference within the range of 7~8cm in human height

Why? Just don't say anything. If somebody asks, then just say "yeah, I grew taller".

Havent had LL yet but ive noticed most ppl who are above 4 to 5 inches taller than you wont notice or care especially if their 5'11 and above cause everyone to them is short and even had a 6 foot friend who thought i was 5'10 when im 5'7. You can get away with 2 inches above or below your height most ppl will buy into it. Only ppl that'll notice are the ones who are close to your height or th ppl who are taller and youll grow to be there height and of course the other ppl who obsess over height. Close family as well. Ive also heard from others if you just play it off ppl lose interest and dont care so you could play that card too or just avoid ppl for a few months and when you see them after a while they wont notice or just say its your shoes they add a few extra inches, insoles etc. I dont think other ppl care about our height the way we obsess about it over here. Even had a few women tell me they dont care that im short when i complain about being short and say its all in my head. So its all our perspective.

I told absolutely no one and the pandemic was/is good cover. Some people don’t say anything (even though I’m sure they noticed) others have been pretty persistently telling me that they think I grew taller once they noticed. Usually they just drop it after I say “You know that’s impossible, right?” or “Are you sure you didn’t shrink?” Not like they can really say anything if you deny.

Way taller guys definitely don’t notice, shorter people might notice, and people around your height are the most likely to notice and bring it up.

Surprisingly even when my gait was not 100% a good number of people didn’t notice my penguin walk at all, and only a few people who noticed even brought it up.

Only one person has asked about my leg scars (though only a few people have seen them) and I said it was from an accident while doing a dangerous sport.

No one has ever mentioned anything about my proportions though, and one girl even said that I had short legs…

I think this whole process has shown me that people care way less about others than what one might imagine in their heads, so even with something as crazy as LL, most people don’t notice.

Before the LL, use the shoe lift, as high as possible. After the LL, do not use the shoe lift, and then slowly increase the lift by 1cm.Answer to anyone questioning your height change, now you know my secret, it's all about the shoe lift, don't tell anyone else lol

Shoe lift is available in the public. Some slippers have shoe lift functions don't they?
