Title: Are you back to full fitness?
Post by: dominikochal on March 10, 2022, 07:26:54 PM
Hello,

A question for people who have had such an operation.
Are you back to full fitness?
And if so, how long has it been since the nails were pulled out.

Would you repeat the procedure?

It's generally agreed that you can fully recover athletically if you lengthen 15% or less of your initial bone length.

This and also really busting your ass with PT and nutrition during recovery. I also believe recovery doesn’t end after consolidation, some people consolidate and don’t  continue to push recovery. Consolidation just means you can push recovery a little more. Active recovery should last anywhere from a year at least to multiple years.
