How did you get an infection with Precice?
-
Its on the right side middle entry wound , where they break the bone .
there was a tiny dry blood clot on the skin after I removed my bandage and I did not replace a new one .
couple days later , I notice the area is slightly swollen when I was out getting some sun light to boost my V-D level . so I applied pressure around it , tiny yellowish discharge from the wound like a pimple .
then I test the doctor's office , they wrote me an antibiotic for 7 days , I went to grab it and took it , the wound was healed .
well , out of 14 entry wounds , 4 screws , nail insert wound , IT band wound , bone breaking wound . On each side . there is only one has a minor infection . Cant complain at all . =D

I was surprised that you can get an infection even with the Precice... It's good that it healed

So it took you 8/9 months to walk with a crutch? I thought most Precice users were walking around 6 months post op with a crutch?

Depends on person to person bro.

the precise weight bearing 150lbs , I'm 190 lbs . there are ppl who can walk around in crutch within 4 months , if you are strong enough .
In my case , I was just lying down to be safe . my legs were 80% and 85% when my doctor cleared me for walking with walker and crutch, so 6 and half months to be cleared . you can say that i was not walking at all , but my bone healed enough to support my weight after 6 and half months .

BUT , after I was cleared for walking , my right leg went from 85% to 100% real fast , in 4 weeks .
left leg is 85% right now , but I am able to walk without assist in the house , so next Xray should be 100% on both legs !!

How has the last year been since your procedure? It looks like my journey is going to be almost identical to yours. I'm 5'6 with a 5'9 wingspan planning to add 8cm.
A 5'10 wingspan would have been really nice to have given my lengthening goals. I suspect even if you were to continue your lengthening, your arms won't look odd, especially since you're Asian and it's not as common to have super long arms. It would probably look normal even if it were less than 1:1.
