Title: Questions for people who lengthened femurs
Post by: SpeedDialer on November 12, 2022, 04:22:32 AM
What kind of formal shirts are good for not long sleeves but long torso? To cover up the top of the leg so it doesn't look too long / make the torso look not too short

So if you have short arms but long femur, what do you look for to get a good shirt to mask this?

Tried anything else? Thinking maybe can play some tricks with jacket/cardigan etc

I think maybe might need to buy a size up and then shorten the sleeves by tailor? What kind of clothes is it easier to shorten the sleeves but still look OK?

Honestly at your length you can rock whatever you want.

My ideas are either long shirts/pullovers/jackets. men’s underwear. More baggy jeans (I must say I dislike baggy. I hope I can still wear skinny jeans lol)
Short pants in the summer are the best, the ones that end above your knees. That alone will make it unnoticeable.

To me personally I‘d like to rock the long legged look. So I will try skinny stuff and not too long shirts (they may make the arms look even shorter). The only thing I think may look off for me is short tibia in comparison because they indeed were short to begin with (which I will try to fix with hideable shoe insoles and future tibia LL perhaps. I will see).

yeah you might be right that the best solution is shoes with some heel

I didn't yet think about how long shirts can make the arms look short

I'm going for 7 cm femurs and I will end up slightly shorter than average height

So short pants in the summer are good because they will make it seem like the upper leg is shorter? B/c provide visual break in upper leg? I don't usually wear them b/c of bug bites but it is probably a good idea
