Hallo Everyone
I'm new on this side ,I 'm planing to have a limb lengthening surgery end of this year ,I'm 158cm short 🙈" my goal is 173" 1: My question is if it possible to have such kind of surgery at one's?
2: what type of surgery will be the best?
3: what is the max lengthening?
-
I think it is possible with a nail
choose a good doctor and examine your proportions
15 cm is the max for a good recovery, avoid disproportions
-
Do less if running or fast walking is somthing you plan do to in the future. I'd recommend you do 6/7cm's with an internal nail and be done, long femurs look good ob women and 164/165 is a very decent height.
More will look weird, will cost you another ton of money (you'll have to pay 50 000$for one surgey) and will seriously reduce your chances of a decent recovery.
-
First step is to have your femur length measured, and your tibia length measured by x-ray..... you can request this from your doctor or chiropractor.
Then, if you want to stay within "safe limits", you should only add a maximum of 15% increase to each of these bone segments.

That is way too much. Stick to 8 cm.
-
Yeah, do 7-8 cms max.
15cms will screw you up for good.

7.5 cm with internal femur lengthening and then 7.5 cm with internal tibia lengthening? Dr. Guichet?

Yeah, do 7-8 cms max.
15cms will screw you up for good.
why ?
you think this is not aesthetic?

I mean body function wise. 15cms is massive, one should at least do 7-8cms, see how the entire process went and then maybe aim for more.
Proportions are a secondary concern but yeah that too.

So it depends on the initial proportions and capacity of our body?

maybe 6
plus 6 cm?

OP
158 cm is maybe a little short but it's a normal height for a woman
and 165 is the average in many countries for women
but 173 is a beautiful height but too small for modeling

Yeah. Lengthening 10cms at 5'10 isn't the same as doing it at 5'.
Anyway OP, if I may, why do you want LL? 5'2 is a normal height for a woman and women(in the normal range) are never discriminated against because of their height. LL is a serious surgery and go for it only if you REALLY want it.

Thank you verry much it means a lot

Research as much as you can: limb lengthening methods, doctors, and budget requirements to start with. If your'e still convinced that you want leg lengthening, do your tibiae for a reasonable amount and give yourself a few years to recover. You'll give your soft tissues a rest and have time to experience whether leg lengthening made a difference in your life. You may be satisfied with just one lengthening and not want to go for another round.
