To lengthen an older man in the tibia, how many centimeters do you recommend? (external method)

Even many young patients in 20s stop around 5cm due to severe pain, contractures, infection, misalignment, etc
Also the original height or bone length affect to the lengthening amount

for 5 cm you are in frames for about a year. I dont get why people still want to do that...Its like travelling by ship when you could take an airplane...

To answer your question: 4cm max

Why not internal?  I did internals in my 30's, and met a few other folks at Paley's also in their 30's.
