Title: Penguin walk to normal walk - advice needed
Post by: Nestor on April 03, 2020, 01:17:31 PM
Hey guys, looking for any tips or advice on how best to transition from walking like a penguin to a normal gait. When I try to walk unassisted at the moment it's more like a waddle. Will my body just eventually walk normal when it's ready or is there anything I can do to improve things? I've been working my quads and glutes which seems to definitely be helping but my gait is still a long way off normal.

You're on the right track brotha! Glutes, quads and hip abductors were the muscles that needed to recover for me the most. I also think working on the core abdomen area will help with the duck ass. Things felt slow and then once I turned the corner on month 6 / 7 post op things started feeling much much better!

Thanks man! Forgot about the abductors I'll start hitting those too. I've recently started working my abs again and it seems to be helping my overall stability. Hopefully around the 6/7 month mark I'll be walking like a normal person lol
