Hello, I am an Asian. I'm Korean. I want to extend femur. But I'm afraid it's proportionally weird. I went to a famous doctor in Korea and got a consultation. (His name is Donghunlee) He told me it was okay to femur and increase the tibia. But I still doubt it. Of course I want to increase femur. Because the advantages of athletic ability and fast recovery seemed good. But aesthetically, I know it's better to increase the tibia.
According to the latest equipment, eos, my tibia is 33cm and my thigh is 42cm.
Eos is slightly lower than normal X-rays, but the figures are accurate. Only the exact length of the bone is measured. My height is 167,168. But eos height is 166
I'm curious about your opinion. Do you mind if I stretch five centimeters of femur?
Please give me an honest answer. I am going to upload my picture for a definite answer

To be honest 5cm on femur is very fine in term of proportion.
I did femur for 8cm and i was 175cm.
For you’re height 5cm on femur won’t looks weird. Also 5cm on femur is not really « 5cm » in real life, it’s not like the tibia. So if you do 5cm on you’re femur in real life you won’t really have 5cm but a bit less than this.

Anyeonghaseyo. Soy GHkid imnida. Wo shì mei guo ren. Wo but shi han gou ren. Balli balli fast fast. Park seo joon imnida. Itaewon class horrible drama
Jokes aside, No I don't mind at all. Your life your choice. Korean people like tibia more, but that increase arthritis more than if you did Femurs. So femurs is better for health.

i have a short tibia, is it okay to extend femur5cm? Is there any place to chat in real time here?
tibia 33 cm femur 42cm
extend5cm femur
tibia 33cm femur 47

ummm how can i post picture? and can i know ur tibia cm femur cm? i think u have long tibia
-
Yes it's okay to extend Femurs, your tibia is normal length.
-
To post pictures I use this website in my case: https://imgbb.com/
You upload the pictures on it and then just share the link here !
Yes you right ! The length of my femurs and tibia was almost the same before surgery.
I’m sorry i don’t remind exactly how much it was but my femur wasn’t in a « normal » size in comparaison to the tibia it was shorter.
But when you do the leghtening and you check you’re self in a mirror you will see the difference between before/after. 5cm will makes you have long femur but it won’t looks weird. If you go to 8 or + (which i absolutly not recommend) it can be weird yes.
8cm is the MAXIMUM LIMIT on the femur and even 8 is hard to get.

it is normal lentgh? i think its too short

I'd like to know how I look after the surgery.
Is there any other way?
I'm going to upload my picture a little later.
I'll be home in an hour.

Before surgery my femur was at 413mm if you take the top part of the femur and my tibia at 386mm. So 2-3cm of difference between them.
That’s a pictures of my legs when i was at 6.5cm.

If you do only 5cm you will be okay in term of proportion.

Your calves are really long. Can you tell the length of tibia and femur? Are you Western?

Before surgery, tibia: 38.6cm femur: 41.3cm
Now i’m at tibia: 38.6cm femur: 49.3cm
I’m arabic i live in Europe !

Your ratio is excellent. By the way, if I increase femur 5cm, will it be okay if I increase it to 47cm? The difference between the calf bone and the thigh bone is about 15cm.
-
okay so if i’m not wrong after surgery you will be at:
Femur: 47cm tibia: 33cm difference : 14cm
Me:
Femur: 49.3cm tibia: 38.7cm difference : 10.6cm
If i compare to myself i think at 100% you won’t look weird.
BUT yes of course you will have long femur in comparaison to someone of you’re height.
But if It’s only for 5 cm you might go for tibia. It’s easy to do and you will have better proportion!
Proportion are also important if you want to be athletic

« Easy to do ». I mean painless. Nothing is easy with LL lol

You're saying it's hard to do an LL extension? How did you extend it?
-
I did LON on femur. So external for the leghtening.
It’s very hard. You need to be ready psychologically. Even if you use an other method it’s a big surgery and you’re body need time to recover from it.
It’s easy to say « yes i want to be taller » and hard to not give up. You have to be strong but after that you will be proud of yourself and stronger.
-
Ohh really i thought u use stryde or precise machine. Anyway can u see my pic?? Where would you operate if you were me?
-
hey suk1hong
we have very similar leg lengths
my tibs are roughly 32cm as well
im gonna do tibias , because i personally think longer tibias look more aethetic!
-
It really depends on you’re budget to be honest.
This surgery is a lot about money.
But doctor Lee is a very good one !

hola bro where r u from?
I'm afraid to do tibia. Because of the thickness of the calves. My calves are 39 centimeters thick.
How long are your calves and thighs each? How tall are you?

how can i do ㅠㅠ
-
Be more worried that long tibia compared to femur cause early arthritis in knee and hip
-
By the way, my tibia is too short, but it will fly FEMUR and 14-15CM. Is it okay? I want to know what it looks like after surgery.
-
It will look fair. I would do precice femur 5cm and then come back next year and do 5cm LON tibia.
Kamsamnida. Park seo joon.

Femurs have much bigger muscles around them, regardless of how big are your calves.
For 5cm, external tibias are the only way to go for many many reasons.
Also, 5cm on femurs won't look aesthetically good in a short man compared to 5cm on tibias.

hey bro we are the exact same height!
if you are worried about calves just wear compression stockings for 2 years that will prevent them from thickening
