Never heard of it but for sure Paley has failed as well, he is an amazing surgeon but he is also a human

The thing with LL is it can go wrong even under ideal conditions

Paley gave MyEvolution a bone infection which wrecked his life for a bit.

Paley looked at MyEvolutions x-rays that showed preconsolidation on one leg and no lengthening, was like OK and didn't notice it, then continued on. MyEvolution spent a few weeks after x-ray, without knowing the rod wasn't lengthening.

Hi @ghkid2019, do you happen to know which one happened first (osteomyelitis or pre-consolidation)?

Preconsolidation twice I believe, then infection.

I suspect that Paley and his team don't pay enough attention to their patients.

That's very true.. he is very busy and performs over 550 surgeries a year in average.. 50+ CLL a year, he is just a workaholic and is way too busy.. he does have Dr. Robbins with him but that's still so much work

Can't blame him but he needs to take more responsibility and care for some patients which I'm sure he does and slips up once every now and then.. he is a deformity corrector and helps many kids and adults so I can't blame him he is the best anyways...

Paley is a good man just overworked so I recommend if you do CLL with him to watch your own x-rays and take careful notice... They will miss something just by nature of their busy schedules

I agree. While Paley is among the best, if not the best, if you're doing an average of more than one surgery per day it's impossible to have a great attention to detail on every single patient.
