Shahn Cheistian Anderson, 20cm on the legs and also lengthened his humerus. Humerus is pointless. Humerus lengthening has zero gain unless you suffer from dwarfism.

He is the perfect example that there is no threshold or specific limit. It all depends on the person. One does 20cm and arms and end up fine, some only want 5cm and end up dead from complications. Luck has to be on your side.

Let's see him actually run.

Pretty sure I remember him posting a Strava run on his Instagram (that particular post is deleted now), it was like 9.5 or 10 minutes a mile, not thaaat bad.

Come down to Turkey mate and you will see many veterans run. These are the veterans that have done 9+cm in single surgeries.

If he is young, a while after surgery and has done running regularly then 10 minute miles is bad and a 10 minute mile is awful.

10 min per mile translates to 6mph or 9.6km/h which would be the speed of a slow jogger.

9cms on femurs is just 1cm above what’s considered the safe limit. So even though it would be considered risking it, it is still doable. You cannot compare these guys to a person that did 10cms on both segments. Remember that when you do one segment, the soft tissues of the other segment stretches as well... they are dependent of each other.

Guys  can i do the LL part same as meck..like no downtime between distractions..my goal is not crazy as him though..and i will also be considering stryde for femurs..i will start with LON externals and thn femur stryde for 5+6cm height gain..ist possible or super risky.

Usually, going in for the second lengthening without no time in between leads to not actually getting all the cms one plans for. I believe the inflammation of the surgery plays a big role in this, since it limits your movement. If there’s no rest between segments then you’ll probably have both of your with movement restrictions. I imagine pt to be extremely difficult/painful because of this. You can clearly tell that Meck is not fully recovered yet because he’s always lurking in the forum but never actually updating. This is mostly the doctor’s fault, though. Anyone could tell that Meck wasn’t mentally fit to undergo this procedure. No one could talk sense into the guy. It depends on how you move forward with it. Usually, people want to get it done ASAP so they distract at a very high rate. The most critical advice is to not rush with things.

I have no intention of rushing the distraction rate..my rate will be max 1mm/day to 0.75mm/day if pre mature consolidation does not set in....but i also do not have a crazy lengthening goal as meck..he did a freaking 17cms..my goal a legtimate 11cm which is considered quite ok when done in two surgeries..and i also won't be using externals for femur....i am noly rushing this coz i also will be undergoing arm lengthening which wld take some more time....as i can only take a 1.5 year gap for all this....before i can walk at least without support..and use my arms for normal activities.
