Title: About compartment syndrome

A few questions about acute compartment syndrome.

Does it usually happen bilateral or only on one side?
How long after surgery does it usually happen? Early or late stages of lengthening?
Quick fasciotomy is the treatment of choice?
How big are the odds of it happening with femur LL?

I will tell to you based on my collected knowledge.

it is caused due to the trauma from the operation so it should happen in the first few days after the operation. It doesn't happen to both the legs together. But it can if you are unlucky.

yes the treatment is the urgent fasciotomy.

It is not likely with the femur operation.
