Hi all,
After a while of discussing with myself ;D, I decided to go ahead with LL opp, starting with my tibias , and aiming for a max possible, 7.5 cm. I'm currently 165cm, at 32 years old. My goal would be 180cm after both tibia and femur, fingers crossed.
My initial meeting with Dr. Mitkovic will be on the 09th of Jan, with the op scheduled for the 12th.
Interested if anyone else is already there to meet up. Will also keep updating on the progress.
Good health to all!

Hi Raku,
I have only contacted him via email so far, I've received a reply after I've sent him the 2nd email after a month. My advice is to keep trying, I've heard it's not easy to get a hold of him via email.
His reccomandation was to use his external 3D device, although on his websites it's stated the possibility of using an internal device also.
Best of luck buddy!

Hi Short,
I'm using the external device, on tibia, the price is 11300 Eur, operation only and hospital stay 6 days. (it seems it went up, in the latest discussions on the forum it was 9300 Eur).

It was a value for money mostly decision, and cost had a big impact, but seeing other testimonials, and knowing my dedication to this, I believe all small issues can be corrected. Let's start of on a positive note ;)

Dear friend, do you decide use Dr own internal device in femur surgery?

Hey buddy,
When I get to the femur op, I will probably use the internal one (based on others suggestion). Right now I'm focusing on the tibia one.

Hi guys,
Quick update...
Arrived today in Nis at about 11am, local time after a 5 hour drive, a bit tireing but glad it was ok with only a minor incident with a police officer, who gave me a warning for not having the first aid kit in my car, don't know how that happen, will have to sort asap.
Weather here is lovely, snowed all day (I like proper winters ;D), I enjoyed it that much that I walked to all the places I needed to go lol.
After arrival I met with the doctor and did a couple of preop tasks, psychological exam and the initial xray. I'm scheduled for my blood work tomorrow morning, and if all goes well into surgery on Saturday noon.
I'm a bit nervous about accomodation, as not sure which route to go, the doctor was kind enough to help and ask around, hopefully that will get sorted soon. Main concern is getting groceries and finding a postop friendly location (not too many stairs :) ). I'm sure other challenges will arrive, will cross that bridge when I get there.
Till next time.
Flav
