Title: Post Leg Lengthening Proportions
Post by: Apprehensive Finance on February 16, 2019, 04:13:12 AM
So I thought I would post here to see how my proportions are. I am a little over two years post lengthening on the Femur. I sometimes worry that my legs are long for my height but I have asked several of my friends and my parents and they all said my proportions look fine. I even measured my legs, and as a percentage of my height they only make up about 44.4%  I was barely 5ft before the surgery and everyone who knows I had it said I look much better now. Even if I am slightly disproportionate now, I would rather be taller and disproportionate but closer to normally short than more proportionate and abnormally short.

I also wanted to add that my mom is 3+ Inches shorter than I am and her legs are much longer. My dad is only a little taller than I am and his legs are about 2-3 Inches longer.

I don't understand why you guys care about proportions. Your head and shoulders should be as high as possible. No one cares about the length of your legs.

I mean I understand it's not important to some people. I never even thought of proportions until I found this forum and that was about a year post surgery. I'm just curious about how my proportions are now. Even if my legs are long, I think I look a lot better now then I did before.

The pictures are post-surgery? Your proportions look completely fine. Nobody will notice a thing.

to be honest, i think you can do atleast 4-5 inches more (mostly in tibias, maybe 1-2 inches in femur).
The reason is, it looks like your torso is too big for your legs.

I see only one picture and it looks like pre-surgery.
Your legs are extremely short compared to your torso.
What is your inseam/body-height ratio?
More data, please.

are you sure? i thought it was post 8 cm LL

yeah thats why i suggest only 1-2 in femur. I think given his low initial height, he needed more length

Yes, this is post surgery. I'm relieved to hear that my proportions look ok. I have been considering getting my Tibia done but considering I already wear lifts and I would have to do external because Internal Tibia would mess up my bow leg correction idk if its worth it. Also, everything went so well the last time i'm not sure if I want to get greedy and end up athletically hampered.  Thank you guys for helping me relieve my proportions neurosis.

Hey, honestly: No one will notice your proportions plus you appear to have a relatively big torso for someone who was 'barely 5ft'.

Good luck!
