Rockstar5 From the picture I'm pretty sure it's WannaBeTaller or yuksel yurttas since they use that type external frames for LON.

Thank you for sharing!

1) Do you still wear lifts?
2) How has your experience with women changed?
3) Did anyone notice?
4) Would you ever go back for tibias?
5) What advice would you have, apart from the drug interactions, for someone going for femurs?
6) Any thoughts on the new weight-bearing nail?

Thanks again - your journey really inspired me.

Cyborg4life made a "shorts" video on youtube answering this question, but has deleted it now lol dont know why. He has spoken with hundreds of CLL patients and if I remember correctly about 92% of them was satisfied where most of the few ones that wasn't was because of complications going to clinics with less experience.

Give it time. It can take up to 2 years to fully recover according to cyborg4life. But doing tibia lengthening does give you potential long term knee pain by going trougth the patella tendon.

I had rods removed from both tibias and femurs about 5 weeks ago. My knees still hurt quite a bit though, one when bending and the other when walking. Anyone experience something similar? Granted one of my knees also had issues before the removal but the other was great :(

I'm surprised this forum is still going on and it's good to see admin, kilokahn, MDOW still active on this forum.
Kilokahn had a major impact on me since he had found a doctor that was previously unknown in the LL community, and despite the early criticism's of the doctors location and lack of experience in elective/cosmetic surgery, I had proceeded to become his first bilateral PRECICE 2 patient. Kilokahn was also very supportive during my procedure and his bravery of having LL in India had influenced me to take my PRECICE 2 nail out in Mumbai India with one of the doctors Kilokahn had visited.
Kilokahn, if you read this, I am highly appreciative for what you have done for this community along with the other users that had given me support during my LL journey.

I will briefly spend time discussing and answering questions for members that maybe considering LL and also my experience of my LL and post-LL journey in this post only. I will not be browsing any other topics/posts so I will only respond to users on this post. Please note I will not provide the exact dates of my surgery, my location, and any other personal stuff that could be too revealing.

So...

* It's been 6 years since my LL surgery;
* In 2 months, it'll be 6 years since my near death experience reported in this topic;
* Finally, it's been 5 years since my rods removal.

For the past 2 or 3 years I had completely detached myself from the reality that this was once a thing I did in my life. Social anxiety? Gone. Being a constant target of jokes? Gone. Feeling more confident? Definitely a lot more.

I don't know if I should create a different topic for this or not but consider this post an AMA. Make sure to read the topic and understand the full story though :)

i dunno what latn is but if u have nails inserted you can focus on your knees and ankles. i did step ups and down on a wooden chair stable enough to stand on. held onto a table and an angle board for my ankles. during those 2 months at home i was at home with crutches and using a cane. u might have a gait where u can wear a jacket to hide it. im just walking and going up stairs at work and using that as physical therapy. so yeh.

Short description of LATN:
"The procedure was also introduced to reduce the time of external fixation. The procedure is quite similar like LON, this also required two surgical procedures but in LATN first surgery is done for the osteotomy and external fixation and once the desired distraction is done the second procedure is done to remove the external fixation and insert the intramedullary nail.

Pins and wires are placed to allow subsequent intramedullary nailing. At the end of the distraction phase reamed the large diameter, full length, statically locked intramedullary nails are inserted and the frames are removed. This is suggested that reaming through the regenerate enhances and quicken the bone healing.

In LATN lengthening the patient will allow the partial weight bearing during the consolidation period with the help of crutch and walker."

So the nail is inserted after distraction. Im gonna look into this a bit more. Im not sure if the Russian surgeons offer ilizarov but that would be interesting as well. Im looking to avoid a stay more than 3-4 months at most if possible and safe.

How many % have you recovered would u say?
