Anyone expecting Growth Plate Reopen or similar technologies?
« on: January 08, 2022, 08:07:42 PM »

Hey I am rn bombarded with ideas that after finishing LL, I must give Growth Plate Reopen or Electrical Stimulation on epiphyseal cartilages a shot to achieve more growth!
So I am feeling my life is being filled with hopes cuz I can reshuffle the cards that God endowed me with! But it is a mooted question that if I can live until like 80 y.o, can these technologies come out for us short ppl?
What research I found recently about growing taller after the growth plates are fused is this:
  https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/1918270/

The effects of electrical stimulation on epiphyseal growth were studied. The epiphyseal cartilage of the proximal tibia of New Zealand white rabbits was stimulated by direct current for 2 weeks. A constant direct current of 5 microA was supplied by an electrical stimulation system buried under the subcutaneous tissue. Contralateral tibia with dummy electrodes served as control. The results were as follows: The height of the epiphyseal plate near the electrodes was slightly increased by traumatic reaction to the electrodes in the control group. However, in the stimulation group, the height was more remarkably increased than in the control group. The height of the epiphyseal plate was 0.6 +/- 0.2 mm in the control group, and 1.0 +/- 0.4 mm in the stimulation group, showing a statistical difference. The mineral appositional rate, determined by tetracycline labels, was 3.0 +/- 0.8 microns/day in the control group and 4.6 +/- 0.4 microns/day in the stimulation group. It was observed that the turnover of the epiphyseal plate was accelerated in the stimulation group, but no other abnormal findings were observed by electron microscopy. In conclusion, it is clear that growth of the epiphyseal cartilage is accelerated by direct current.

What's your take on this kind of new technologies?

It must be for growing children. When you are an adult you have an epiphyseal line and not an epiphyseal plate. After they fuse there is nothing left of the growth plate.

Dang it. So do you know of developing technologies for adults' height increases?

I think stem cells is promising for growing with growth plates closed.

The problem is not enough research is being funded for it; I'm guessing because the top CLL surgeons are lobbying it so CLL can be the only way to grow after growth plates have ceased growing and they will be less profitable if other methods begin to arise.

If growth plate reopen technology finally arrived, it would impact the market of LL.

Have you checked out the site naturalheightgrowth.com? They're a pretty good resource for gaining 1-2 inches of height with some experimental technologies or methods to potentially grow taller.

I checked it out 5 yrs ago and I am very familasur with this site. And I have learned new technologies from it and some techniques that can increase my height by certain cms but after I knew that LSJL, or Glucosamine Sulphate pills are just gimmicks(I gave them a shot and I knew that the former is totally pseudoscience based on absurd self-assertions through a research that can't wash water at all, cuz mice's growh plates never fuse! And the latter is bs cuz your spines will be compressed after daily activities!), and those are the only two relible and possible ways to increase height after becoming an adult, I realized that all that I can do is to wait for new technologies.
