Limb lengthening help please !
« on: December 03, 2018, 12:33:35 PM »

Hi everyone,

I'm 26, 160cm and from Australia.
I've been wanting to do LL for years but have never really read up on it.
Did some reading tonight and found two doctors : Dr Donghoon Lee and Dr Paley.

Since I'm a noob and all, what does everyone suggest for a 6-10cm increase in height? Is it possible?
I'm not very athletic or sporty so being able to play sports post-surgery isn't something I need to consider.
I'd like to be able to walk, jog and run.

Does anyone know the average costs involved, recovery time and  rough admittance date for each doctor? (Since I'll need to save up)

What are the pros and cons of going to South Korea for Dr Donghoon vs America for Dr Paley.
I can only speak english as well.

Is there anything else I should be aware of or consider?

Any experiences would also be helpful :) !

Thanks in advance all!

*Edit: PS if anyone is looking at doing surgery at either of these doctors in the next few years, maybe we could share a place and split the accommodation/travel costs!

Things you'll have to consider:

- Cost / Investment - How much you're willing to spend. This is by far the biggest factor which will decide where you will go.
- Amount of downtime - How much time you're willing to do rehab. There are faster methods which will of course cost more, but some people have extended downtimes where they don't mind waiting x amount of months
- READ READ READ diaries - Get a mindset of expectations of how long the recovery will take and how difficult it will be. Depending on your route you could be in a comfy clinic with other patients or stuck at home by yourself or with a nurse.

No one will force feed you information. Get informed yourself before asking "What do I do"?.

1 year post can run slowly, walking/gym everyday. Issues are zero, ankle tight waking up.

Thanks for the reply :) !

Yeah I'm willing to invest in this, the way I see it, high investment but well worth it in the long run especially since it's permanent.
I can work and save up a few years, but intend to definitely go through with it.

I'm not too worried about downtime, I mean as long as it's nothing crazy like 1+ years in rehab.

I'd be fine with either a clinic or by myself, just worried about how I'd get things done initially.

Most of the diaries I've read make me want to pursue it further, which is why I've decided to get serious about it.

Like I said, read a lot of diaries. Many will list prices, length of time, amount of height increased, and the country they went. Find something that you can see yourself doing, track their experience, and then research similar diaries from similar doctors. Your post is way too vague to pinpoint what your best path to limb lengthening is because you've outlined none of your expectations. People here are willing to help you here, but only if you help yourself first.
