inflammation and recovery
« on: March 07, 2021, 11:15:11 AM »

I have read that inflammation promotes bones growth. Also to avoid NSAID as they are anti-inflammatory.

Would I risk a non union if my food contains inflammatory- say avocados, berries etc.
Or would pain-gels- most contain anti-inflammatory ingredients- would they risk bone growth too?

Just limit the drugs (you can take some occasionally on especially bad days).  Food is not going to noticeably do anything.

I think it varies a lot from person to person. Some people take vitamin D and calcium and eat a lot and still have slow bone growth. Others need to take the max dose of an NSAID to try and slow bone growth to prevent premature consolidation.

Why would it, and even if it did, it would be by a difference that is not even noticeable.
