Multiple CT/MR Scans & Growing Cancer Possibility
« on: September 02, 2022, 11:33:56 AM »

I have an undescended testicle that treated at the age of 4, and i've been told i'm in high risk group for testicle cancer.
So, i'm curious that what are the chances developing a tumor from multiple x-rays for limb lengthening surgery?

I suppose there will be like more than 5 x-rays, without including complication possibilities etc. I'm kinda curious and feard to be honest.

there was a bone cancer patient here with giotikas, which wasn't reported as a case report. Some cases are not on pubmed but seen by experienced doctors, so we need anecdotal information too. For instance, Dr.Assayag here, he might give us a his experience and knowledge.

Don't play smart card if you are not eligible.

Plain film X rays of legs have negligible radiation. Multiple CTs will add up. There is though no direct proof that radiation causes cancer as any RCT without confounders is impossible to perform
