So you're telling that cutting off my legs is better than surgery?

lol, I know, right? This was so out of nowhere.

Let's at least appreciate that we have our legs.

Don't get me wrong, I strongly support the area of research, but this isn't cll's case.

It's not a misleading title, he really doesn't need LL since he can get any height he wants.

Definition of "misleading": giving the wrong idea or impression.

Clearly not the case here.

We were mislead by the fact that we all gave views to this topic because we wanted to see a well proportioned individual with healthy legs.

Thank God I don't have to worry too much about proportions, given my short legs.

That year sounds about right. I'm pretty sure this limb lengthening thing will be obsolete within two or three generations. They will look back and see it as a barbaric procedure, but there's really no other choice right now if we want to grow taller.

Hopefully we will be able to grow several centimeters without risks in the coming decades.

That's incredibly pessimistic. There are already stem cell therapies to make you grow talleravailable right now! I would give it no more than 10 year before a viable replacement to leg lengthening exists.

Cosmetically? Maybe. But there will always be a place for limb lengthening using Ilizarov for deformities and ghastly injuries.

If a new method does come out, I do hope it's something that doesn't have a cancer risk like HGH apparently does. I understand parents giving kids projected to be short HGH so they can possibly prevent the kid having a harder time in life, but the possibility of constant headaches and tumors later...not worth it, imo.

Maybe the limb lengthening procedure will just become easier and easier with better recovery as a result. Didn't Paley write something about lengthening soft tissue along with the bone?

They could mod you for that, problematic people are not liked in most forums.

We must think of  the other organs in the torso that won't grow so we are far from the future.

Didn't you share that one video a few weeks ago about a surgery that can make your spine grow about 1.3 inches?
