Topic: Can I go from 5'7 to 6' and still be proportional? (Read 11640 times)

Hi all, I was just wondering if you thought it would be possible for me to go from 5'7 (171cm) to 6' (183cm), likely with two separate surgeries, and still look proportional. As you may have guessed, I'm 5'7, a fair bit on the short side. My dream has always been to be about 6' or 6'1. Maybe I'm being a bit greedy

I wanted to hear your thoughts on whether this is feasible or not. I've seen some videos and pics of people who have lengthened 9cm who look pretty good to me.

Seeing as how these people look all right after 9cm, do you think lengthening 12-13cm and still looking proportional is a realistic goal? I understand this would have to be done over two surgeries.

Yeah, greedy. Just do 5-6 cms and wear lifts. I'm 5'8 and that's what I'm gonna do anyway.

Did you not notice how stiff the guy from the first video was, even after 2 years?

That would not be acceptable to me, also his arms looked very small.

Holland it does require noting that he went 9cm straight to Tibias. If it had been 6cm per segment spread out with enough time it's possible to end up with. Better end result that of the 2nd vid guy

Okay but I'm talking about the guy from the first video, his movement is very unnatural.

Imagine living in an uncapable body like that for the rest of your life, -not worth it!

Of course not but 9cm is a ridiculous amount to do for cosmetic reasons (in my opinion) however 6cm is a much safer alternative. Like I said if he did that, consolidated and waited some time after that for safety and then did 6cm femurs, well then it's not crazy to see there'd be a very good chance it'd go well.

And yet he did even less, 5CM +4CM and he still didn't recover very well.

Both of those guys look like they ended up with short arms compared to their height. I think it looks better on the buffer guy because he has more muscle mass.

The skinny guy with the stiff walking looks particularly unnatural. When he first started walking I just thought, "wow what long slender hairless legs". Super effeminate.

I'm not sure but I think the buffer guy did it all in his femurs. He carries it well. The arms look short but yet largely due to the muscle it's not a hindrance. Or rather, I should say, he's clearly better off being tall with short arms than being short with short arms.

OP, what's your wingspan? What's your wrist circumference?

Eh, I think the second guy looks completely normal proportionally, except for his femur to tibia ratio. His running looks decent I guess, especially considering he lengthened 9CM which is a lot.

Overall pretty alright recovery for that guy, hopefully I can do better if only lengthen 6,5CM.

Correction i saw that the lengthening was split between femurs and tibias. He does seem a bit off... i doubt he is running well or even at all. The important information missing that we need to judge it is the time between surgeries. I think a long and pt filled recovery is crucial if you want to do both segments

If you're not sure the muscle pain is normal when exercising, it's not.
"Pretty sure it should be the former" sounds like he's convincing himself that it is.

If you are exercising regularly, you would know if it's pain from overdoing it and can easily avoid that by changing up the intensity or difficulty while still making physical improvements. Unless you're training to be an Olympic athlete, it's easy to avoid any pain in an exercise regimen.

i dont think the guys looks unnatural he actually llokss normal for the amount lengthened ive seen people walking alot more weirder and stiffer in my life so i se him qiet normal

there is a video of the 2 guy playing running and playing basket ball too...

even though it looks like his running is a little bit in slow motion, i would be very satisfied to be able to recover like that.

Yeah I was suprised he managed to recover to that extent considering the circumstances. 9CM certainly is a lot and from what I understand he wasn't teh most diligent patient. hard to say how easy that is for him to do though.

That is ambitious as hell. No way you could do it in one segment anyway, so try 3 inches femur. If you can do more, do 2 inches in tibias.

I can see that it is very difficult for him to run. He is very stiff and tries his best.

It looks so funny to me seeing those tiny tibias moving down below

I think 7-8+cm femur lengthening looks more strange than only tibia lengthening. You look stocky if you only lengthen your femurs. They're already the longest to begin with....

From what I've seen on pictures, femur patients are much harder to spot. You just need to wear your pants a little lower (a lot of young people do that anyways). Wearing short pants isn't a problem either, where as short pants for tibial lengtheners tend to look weird.

No femur only patients wearing shorts looks stranger than Tibia only. Pictures don't give the full Story just look at the Video of the second guy he has tiny tibias compared to femur which I'm sure he could hide in pictures using the right angles. He is a good example of why not to lengthen to much on 1 Segment as now he can't do Tibia without looking weird and having way too Long legs.
