Need some help determining how long before I can start working again

I am planning on doing 6 cm tibial lengthening with Dr. Parihar in January or February. If I had a desk job, it wouldn't be too much of a problem not having too much mobility in my legs after the consolidation phase. However, an EMT (emergency medical technician) has a physically demanding job such as lifting a person among other things. I am going to do more research by reading diaries later on, but I am hoping that I can get a time frame of when I can start working again properly after the surgery.

You won't be able to lift anyone after the procedure until over a year at least.

okay, how about just normal activities like walking regularly and light jogging?
